Just acquired two Italeri 1:72 kits at 50% off from Hobbycraft:

Jaguar T.2 (not sure what to do yet - possibly one of the proposed "super-Jag" projects, or maybe just up-engine the thing to be useful hot-and-high)
B-26K Counter Invader (frothing at all those nose guns!)

Not bad for under a tenner. :)
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

Airfix Banshee-sealed
Airfix RA-5C Vigilante
Airfix F-18
Esci A-4E/F Agressor-sealed

not bad for under $20 including shipping.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

My stash is growing steadily, and most of it was this year.

Three Trumpy Bismarck/Tirpitz kits (two tirp one bis)

Fujimi Super Yamato kit (bought for the extras, it's being put to work as a Whif Musashi '45 with full six enclosed secondary turrets, modified so the armor is knuckle-sloped not rounded)

Tamiya Kumano being whiffed into a Japanese-style Panzerschiffe with twin 16" gun turrets in place of the two raised ones, 10cm guns on the broadside AA mounts

Pit-road Udaloy being bashed and beaten into the shape of a Udaloy II, with some errors to it I found out post-start.

Trumpeter Slava class, being turned into a Slava II class design of my own with mostly armaments refits.

Aoshima Kiev, being seriously whiffed/bashed into a Kiev-II class escort/strike carrier project.

DML Kirov 3-in-1 feeding a couple of bash projects, being whiffed to accomodate a partial armament change and finishing of armament.

Trumpeter Sullivans, being bashed into USS Black circa 1950's Korea fit.

Fujimi Admiral Scheer, bashed into project known as "Von Der Tann" concept, crossbreed between Deutschland Class and P-Class, with 15" refit to main battery, additional AA fitting, other adjustments.

Trumpeter Iowa, to be whif-bashed into modern era refit with Mk41 VLS, Mk45 gun mounts in place of old 5" guns, AEGIS, Engine Refits, etc.

Tamiya Shinano, to be whiffed into service-edition, whiffed with Shinden J7W1 aircraft on flight deck among others.

Revell of Germany Leopard 2A5, to be joined eventually with a Revell M60, to form a whif I came up with in concept for Spain as a low-cost alternative to replacing all their M60's with 2A6's - the M60 "Tiger", a version of the 120S with the contributor source being the Leopard 2A5 instead of the Abrams, to standardize equipment across the Spanish service line.

DML Maus - in itself serious whif material, but I'm going to paint it in service patterns, as if it had entered production.

Hasegawa J7W1 Shinden - because it's just a damn sexy plane, and I decided to Whif some service markings onto it to spruce up the drab green/metal basic scheme.

DML Ki-61 Hien - whiffed with Japanese 20mm in the wings instead of the Mausers, potentially a late-production idea with the Mauser supply exhausted, or a field conversion to standardize the maintenance of the Hei in service.

Mirage Ocean IJN Amagi class Battlecruiser - just too damn cool to turn down, and at the price, I had to have it.  I still have to get an Aoshima Nagato, but I'm going to go a little above and beyond and whif it with a late-war Nagato-style AA addition.

I'm soon to be getting an IHP Royal Navy N3 class Battleship to do as well.  That should look pretty bloody sweet.  I'm also getting Italeri F-19 and MiG-37 models, going to have a little whiffage with those two and do them in service models.

I can provide a few pics on another thread of some of the WIP's of my Whifs, I'll be taking some updated pics soon.

From the ebay monster, an Academy 1/48 Hunter FGA.9
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Two 'targets of opportunity' arrived from the ebay fairy:

1/200 DML B-2/F-117 combo-the 117 is a bit crap, but the B-2 looks OK.  I'm thinking of maybe a B-2L with a version of the tactical laser being fitted to an AC-130 in the bomb bay.  This along with an anti-aircraft/anti-missile laser system would create a craft that can fly virtually undetected deep into enemy territory and destroy a pinpoint target leaving no evidence behind.  If it is detected it can defeat any known SAM or AAM with its defensive laser system.

1/72 Tamiya F4-D-another added to the stash because it was cheap.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Most of the money I made selling kits at Coventry last week was spent on stuff at Sutton Coldfield yesterday

Fujumi 1/72 RF-4E (includes 2 decal sheets, 1 USAF + 1 JASDF.  Crucially the JASDF sheet has 2 full sets of markings, including the old-style 501 Hikotai markings which will find their way onto an Airfix TSR2... :) )

Tamiya 1/35 Chieftan (only £12, will be for the Cold War SIGs 2009 theme)

Italeri 1/72 Osprey (been after one for ages to do using one of Mavs profiles)

Tamiya 1/35 JGSDF Recon team (motorbike/rider and officer pointing)

Plusmodel 1/35 Bricks and rubbledust (cause of much hilarity on the Britmodeller stand)

Hornet 1/35 wounded Tommie

Resicast 1/35 Tommie carrying fuel can

Verlinden 1/35 set of Tommie heads

Andrea Miniatures 54mm Saxon King, 7th Century AD (wearing Sutton Hoo helmet).  This is my Birthday present from the boy - he enjoyed going to Sutton Hoo this year tremendously.  Will be done for the "best of British" them on the BM stand at Telford this year.

Oh, and Radish lent me an old folder of his from the mid-90s containing old SIG newsletters and some of his Imperial Roman ideas.  The stencils in Latin went down a treat! :D
