Picked up a Zvezda Mi-24D and a Trumpeter EE Lightning, both 1/72, Lightnings for the nats and will have six 30mm ADEN cannons and four missiles

No doubt said Lightning will have the endurance of a gnat and land virtually as soon as it's cleared the runway?
Looking forward to it though.

Roden 1/72 R.A.F. SE5a.  Looks slightly over complicated, but they've supplied parts for just about every subtle variation of the SE5a you can think of.  Not that I'm likely to be building it as a common or garden SE5a though....
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Airfix Sea King from ebay, to see if I want another one in order to nick the u/c pods and 5-blade rotors for my super-Belvedere. Not sure yet - I have two schemes in mind, one almost believable and one certainly not

Never had one of these kits before - I like the mechanism whereby the rotor winds up the dipping sonar.... ;D ;D ;D

Arrived yesterday from Mr Cthulhu, courtesy of Toolslinger Transportation, Inc.:

1/72 Italeri North American PBJ-1D (Navy B-25).

I'm thinking about picking up a cheapo Revell 1/39 Wright Flyer for the wings and "retro-engineering" this one.

Thanks a million Greg! You're a very kind and generous soul!

Morning Gang,

In the continuing restock of the stash, I've got five 35th kits, four from Masterbox and a lone ICM offering.

ICM
WW1 German Assault Troops

Masterbox
"Hand to Hand Fight, 1941 - 42"
"Checkpoint"
Brit Paras, Op Market Garden
Brit Paras, Rigid Landing.

These last two are the new WW2 British Paratroops kits from Masterbox and look quite good.  No "action" poses per se, more "vingette" but nicely done although not quite up to Dragon's standards.

Mav

Talking to Van on Sunday at Newark, he asked the important question as to what/how many models I have "in the stash". I confessed that I was ignorant of the precise number (except that it's a lot) but that in the house I have enough for about 5-6 years building, and in the loft, considerably more. Also, I'm sure it'd take ages to find my Monogram UH-16 Albatross in 1/72nd, but it's there somewhere (and I need it for my Biggles build).
However, I've recently ordered to increase the stash even more:

All in 1/72nd....

2 x VEB Beriev Be-6 (awfully crude but they'll be dramatic RAF flying boats!! As per various profiles.
1 x SMER/Heller Dewoitine D.510
1 x SMER/Heller Polikarpov I-153
1 x Airfix Auster Antarctic
1 x Academy Fiesler Stoch
2 x Hasegawa F-16C
1 x Hasegawa F-16D

The F-16s are for a particular "group build"....more details when I unveil this project, I hope, at Bolton.

Apart from the Be-6s, the others are for my "Biggles" builds.

I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Airfix Gazelle from ebay. Thought I might be able to use it to make a new cockpit for the Belvedere, but it looks like it's a bit too small.
