1/72 Fujimi Alcock & Browne Phantom arrived today off EB, the kit looks different from the other Fujimi RAF Phantom I have, seems they've upgraded a few things including the Spey nozzles, now a two part affair much better also arrived was a Clear-fix decal sheet for the 1/48 Phantom, great set over 40 aircraft covered, RAF and RN.
Forgot to mention the new kit also comes with a set of rubber tyres.

One bottle of "Gator Glue"..

Brian, keep the Gator Glue from freezing or near freezing temps! It'll screw up the glue. I have a bottle that's a little runny (Kenny replaced it) and while the stuff isn't going to displace superglues, it does a great job at holding down PE parts, and it can be used to build up link to link tracks and keep them somewhat flexible. Some people claim that it "sticks right away", but that hasn't been my experience - you still have to hold the parts in place for a minute or so before the glue is tacky enough to hold.

Thanks for the tips, Frank! I was hoping this could be used the same as CA, so I'm a little disappointed. Since I don't use PE, will this stuff have any other uses? I'm thinking about tackling some bare metail foil in the future using household tinfoil, but it seems this Gator Glue might be overkill.

There were guys on several boards claiming that this stuff "stuck on contact" and other wild claims that made it sound like a CA replacement. Kenny just sells it as a better way of attaching PE.

The Gator Glue is nowhere as strong as CA, except maybe in shear, where CA is very weak. I started gluing together the plastic track links of my E-10 with the Gator Glue and it works. It should be pretty good as a glue for home-made BMF and it may make good windows. It should be good for attaching canopies as well.

It's basically a version of white or carpenter's glue, only it stays pretty flexible without breaking.

Much obliged, Frank! I'm going to try it out attaching a canopy in  little bit here. It's good to know how it works and that it's a useful tool in the glue arsenal.

Let me (and the rest of us) know what your experiences are with the Gator Glue. So far you're the only other person that I "know" that has or will use it.

Just back from sunny Seaham, called in to Suzys Miniatures shop on station road, seem to do mainly dolls house stuff with candle and card craft thrown in plus a few models. I got a 1/35 Trumpeter Strv-103B and a 1/24 Tamiya Toyota Celica, for £21 in total but Paul the lad I went with got the best deal, a 1/350 Trumpeter USS Yorktown for £38 !!

So far I've only tested it for attaching canopies and it works much the same as normal white school glue like Elmer's. It does seem a little bit more tacky though but dries in about the same amount of time. When I do something in BMF, I'll use it again and post an update.
