the US-3 will help with an idea i have for a four engined viking!  ;D ;D

Now that I have just got to see!

this one duncan has been on the back burner for years and years, but i feel its on for later on this year and it
will have to have naval markings of course. perhaps USN just to upset the JMN's.

shall keep you informed.  ;D

I also raided a Michael's craft store and got some foil for BMF and a bunch of acrylic craft paints. I'm trying to see if I can use these instead of the little bottles of Model Masters, Polly-Scale, etc. With the craft paint, you get 2 1/2 times as much for 7 times less cost.

Brian da Basher

Brian,
the craft paints are great... especially for hand-brushing, however, they are best applied over a primer as some brands don't like bare plastic. While pricey, the Tamiya grey or super-fine white primer in the rattlecan are the best, but cheapo auto primer also works.

Cheers,
Jon

Much obliged, Jon. Thanks for the info.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Interesting day...a strange odor in the car turned out to be a seized alternator. Price in Canada for a new one ? $295...in the good ol' USA ? $129 ! So guess where I was going ? Luckily enough for me, my pal Kurly showed up outta nowhere ( with a cat in his truck ) and off we went. We stopped at Pastime Hobbies in Port Huron where I snagged these two......we also stopped at Ted's for a couple of Coneys. Mmmmm....Coneys.....

A Frog kit for $30! I must be dreaming! I can buy them for less than 50 kr... (but they are a joy to build, no detailing needed!)

I had the kit years ago just after it came out and remember the fun building it, I think it got lost in one of the many moves anyway I'm going to do it as the box but I may get rid of the chrome finish, never looks right on kits to me and paint them silver.
