Steve-

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Today I bought a Revell 1/144 F-4E/J, just because I could.  The name "F-4E/J" is actually a little misleading, because that implies that you can build either an Air Force or Navy Phantom.  I was actually hoping this was the case, and that there would be alternate noses/parts for either version.  What you actually get is a model F-4E, with decals for either USAF or JASDF.  It's a neat little kit, but the only stores are three drop tanks and a pair of AIM-7s.  The F-14D I picked up a couple of months ago was much better detailed, and had at least two of everything the Tomcat can carry.

I stopped by Hobby Lobby today on the way to pick up housepaint.  They were having a 30% off sale on models so I got  Academy's 1/144 F-14 and 1/72 P-40, both for $10
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Kitech 1/48 Merkava, picked up from Archeron games & books in Hull.  Didn't realise it was motorised, & at £6 it's quite a bargin.  A Revell kit in 1/72 cost me the same amount.  It's for a freind, as was the Revell kit, he originally wanted 1/48 but I could only find 1/72, I may take the smaller kit of his hands if he doesn't want both.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

...and a good one too!

About a month ago I asked the owner of my LHS if he would be getting any Niimrods in.  He said  he thought he would in a week or two, so I asked if I could reserve one.  I had just about given up on it and was thinking about biting the bullet to order one online, but he just called and they are in!  I asked how much and he said it lists for $64, but he would let me have one for $49!  Best price I've seen yet!

Wouldnt you know it though, I have to work tomorrow so I cant pick it up 'till Saturday.

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Picked up a 1/72 Bison/Grille Tank and a 210mm German gun ( for my Marder VI whif ) from NKR Models who were having a 30% off moving sale. Both kits were from ex USSR manufacturers, tho the 210mm gun is turned aluminium - looks good. My wife's comment on this - "looks nice but you're going to paint it aren't you" - said in a disappointed tone - she loves the shiny models - who knows  ;D

That is cheap ! I called my LHS yesterday, and he said it should be in on Monday.....sixty-something. Luckily, I put 40 bones down a few weeks ago so I could 'afford' it.
