Hi Brian,

Just a bit of clarification on those green plastic tubes.  Never visualized them as being a starting point for a fuselage.  The plastic is a bit soft for that purpose, I was using them as a curved surface sanding block by wrapping the sandpaper around it and applying that to the models surface to remove features from areas that needed to be dressed with a minimal abrasive footprint.

Those tubes originate from the local grocery store where the previously held translucent plastic produce bags for vegetables and fruit.  Something that is free for the asking if you talk to a grocer in that deperatment.

Fome Modelzone yesterday

Revell 1/72 SE5A. I have a plan for this one, don't I Rad

The first two of Revell's classic kits.

Ex Matchbox Heyford (MEAF or East Agfrican AF 1940) and Lysander, so I can wif this and use my Pavla one as a real world bird.

The boxes of these "classic" kits are proper boxes not those awful end-opening ones. Hope they move towards this type of packaging for all their kits.

The other classic kit they had in was a V2 and trailer - didn't look at scale but box was quite big.

Talking of old kits MZ had the old Linberg US Destroyer in the massive box - havn't seen that in years !
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Arrived today from the incredibly generous Mr Fontaine:

2 x 1/48 Testor's Curtiss Seaplane Racers (to be scale-o-rama'ed)

1 x 1/144 F-117 (I dunno how I'm gonna biplane this one!)

some assorted weapons

some assorted plastic tubing that should make nice fuselages

assorted wire for rigging

Thanks, JJ! You're very generous!

Have a small one or two man stealthy assault glider on top for Special Forces insertion.  During take off at least, it'll be a bi-plane!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Went to the LHS to pick up some paint and came out with Hasse's P 51 D mustang, yep, another one. Also came across a SU 17M3R from Master craft. Couldn't resist that one either as it was only 3 Euro. First time I've seen this brand overhere. Looks rather nice in detail also. Hopefully it will stay the bargain it is and won't cause to much of a pain in building.

I stopped by Hobby Lobby on the way home from work today and they were having one of their 30% off sales so I got:

Revellogram 1/48 Blue Angels F-18-already reduced to $9, then with the discount got it for about $6.

Tamiya 1/35 M41 Walker Bulldog tank-my first armour buy in over a year, just caught my eye and was under $10.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....
