Blimey  - everyone's doing Defiants: it's practically a group build....... ;D

Got the Airfix Javelin last night - interesting.

Only two Firestreaks - why?

Outer wing panels molded separately - good (makes it easier to blend the Avro Avenger's wing-mounted fins convincingly)

Nose cone molded in one piece with fuselage: not sure if that's good or bad to be honest.... (wouldn't like it if I was building it up as standard...)

Don't believe what I've just seen on ebay - I bid £5.00 on an Airfix Whirlwind and didn't get it: know what it sold for: £17.50.....

Weaver, you'll be glad that you didn't get it, Bilek have just released a reboxed Airfix Whirlwind for, yep, you guessed it, £5!  Poor sod who's paying £17.50 for it!

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I dont usually post here till I take delivery, but I'm excited about ordering my first resin kit, so I'll post it early!

From the lovely folks at Hannants, just ordered:

Pro Resin/Olimp Folland Gnat F.1-naturally it will end up flying CAS for an RAF CSAR mission in Vietnam armed with Matra pods.   ;D

To make up the 30 quid for overseas orders I also got:

Airwaves 1/48 Bucc wingfold set
Xtradecal RAF roundels/stencils
Modeldecal black UK serials sheet with all the RN, RAF, Army, RM wording
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

B777LR

Bought a Matchbox Mirage III at the Airshow last Sunday. The cost was 80 kr, but the seller said he had just heard that it was worth 180 kr. Is this true? It certainly doesnt look like its worth that much...

Yesterday i got myself the 1/72 Heller Fouga Magister and Italeri TB-58 "Boomerang/Hustler"

Mossie

1/72 Mirage III kits are suprisingly hard to come by, but since you can get hold of the AML kit with resin parts for £13/120Kr I'd say he was pulling your p!sser.  80Kr/£8.50 seems about right considering the Matchbox & Heller kits have not been around for some time.

Part of it might be because the Matchbox kit makes a IIIB two-seater. That's not common, though I wouldn't be surprised if Heller didn't do a IIIB too.

Got one of those Matchbox two seaters, it builds up fairly nicely IIRC, it was a few years ago I did it though.  I did add some goodies to it from the Heller Weapons Set.
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

Nice little kit the Heller Fouga Magister  ;D
