The only bill I got was when the value went over £18;then the sods bill you for paying the import tax of £3 so it cost about £8!

My order was about £30, plus another £20-odd for the express shipping (was supposed to be for a birthday present, which of course was completely messed up).I think it's because I went for the EMS shipping. The package got from Tokyo to Coventry in less than 24 hours, then spent a week sat in Coventry doing nothing, apparently waiting for a customs inspection. And then they decide to charge me for the delay (well, they say it's a "handling fee" because they paid the VAT for me and then billed me for it). It's not HLJ's or Japan Post's fault at all. Bloody Parcelforce. Useless bunch of thieves... :banghead:
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

I've had stuff from HLJ for well over 30 quid and never been charged any extra EMS or Standard rate (which only took two weeks), wonder if it depends on where it enters the country.
Are you paying with Paypal or credit card ?

My local Post Office collection point stuck the notice up about charging £13.50 for handling the VAT for you a couple of weeks ago - as for getting charged VAT it's down to luck. I've not yet been charged on anything I've brought in from Anigrand but it will happen eventually.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Was out for a walk in Southern Lincolnshire today, so on the way home made a detour via Newark Air Museum, got some paint, and the Hasegawa 1/72 JASDF weapons set.

Go Stevie ! That would be pretty sweet to see, especially in 48th.

Grabbed myself an Airfix Severin lifeboat last week. Trying to figure out where to put the guns....

Also grabbed today a 144th scale Airfix SRN4 Hovie.....I wonder how many harriers you could cram into that thing ?
