had to nip over to the local hobby craft for some paints, noticed a clearance area with a few large airfix boxes. so I felt complelled to rehome an Airfix C-130H. at a reasonable price. (along with the paints i had gone there for)

Hmm I notice the last post of the last stash tread and the first post (adding a kit) on the new thread both come from members of the same IPMS branch.  IPMS(UK) Coventry & Warwickshire  ;D. Couldnt have planned it better if we tried eh Trev?
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Well, finally gave in and bought the Italeri 1/35 Staghound - and bloody glad I did too cos its and outstanding kit!

Detail looks good, accurate, interesting selection of decal options, turned aluminium barrel, etched brass fret - all for 25 quid.  Full marks Italeri!  The turret is on a separate sprue as well, so hopefully we'll see the other Mks released - they certianly got as many variants as they could out of their AB41 tooling.

Will still look to pick up the Bronco Mk.1, just to compare the 2 ;)  Italeri looks like the easier build though tbh.

During the donwtime I turned to eBay for comfort and picked up a Hasegawa 1/72 F-111A for $20 which is a pretty good price from what I can gather ($27 with shipping).
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Blackadder: Even though you can't actually read.
Baldrick: No, but I have done a lot of Airfix models in my time.

Ahhh yes, the joys of impulse buying, eh Dork ? - As for me, the eBay fairy just brought me an Academy 1:48 MiG 21MF (photo & inspirational profile in the workbench thread), and an Airfix Whirlwind. This latter I've managed to con our glorious leader into purchasing off me for the SMW 08 SIG theme.

On the way home from Atlanta tonight I stopped by the hobby shop and picked up the Dragon 1/144 Joint Harrier Force 1+1 GR.7+ GR.9 set.  I already have the 1+1 Tornado F.3 and F-5E/F sets and had hight hopes since they are pretty nice, but Harrier is a bit of a letdown.  Compared the the Revell 1/144 AV-8B+ I have the base model is pretty crude, and the nose must be cut off and replaced with the 'new mold' GR.7/9 nose.

Still, it's always nice to get some new 1/144 decals, the Brimstomes are a nice addition to the 1/144 weapons stash, and the kit will look OK once it gets the Swiss decals from a Revell Hunter on it!

So I got that going for me...which is nice....
