Wow, Frog Hornet at what here in blighty would be about £2.50. :o  I saw one at a show recentley for the equivalent of $30!
Like Lee ive had a few Frog/Novo Hornets pass throu my hands, and again like lee. ive never had to pay more than £10 sterling, they can be found at a bargin price, you just have to have a good nose for a bargin hunt (undertable sales are always a good startling point)
I always hope for the best.

BlackOps

Yesterday I got a 1/32 Trumpeter MiG-15 and a 1/72 scale Hobby boss P-47D that I'd ordered from www.LuckyModel.com
I payed a whopping $12.00 for the pair. With shipping from Hong Kong my total was $23.00 which seemed pretty good to me.

Took about two weeks to get my order. I'll definately use them again in the future.

NARSES2

My you lot have been busy while I was away

At Southern Expo yesterday - all 1/72

CMR Spitfire VIII RAAF
CMR Spitfire IX RCAF

Both at a good price from Mushroom Models

Fujimi Spit XIVe
Fujimi Aichi B7A2

Hasegawa B-24D - £6 less then at Hanants

Special Hobby Blenheim IVF
MPM Boston IV/V

SAMI Publications Lancaster and Beaufighter books at £10 each. Nice pic of a Beau armed with two 40mm guns in the nose, now where did I put those Hasegawa kits ?

Lots of Eduard masks and Zoom etch and some RAF serials and codes transfer sheets, plus some tools and paints.

One thing intrigues me though - how many Nimrods did Airfix produce ? because there were "zillion's" of them on sale at the show. Is this a case of people saying "I want one" then seeing the size of the beast ?

The Vintage Models 1/24 scale P-47 was available at the show for £59. Very nice and I was nearly tempted by the transfer sheet alone - SEAC and French options  Talking to the guy the P-40 sold 3,000 (did I miss-hear ?) and he's next 1/24 scale kit will be a Corsair.

It's a nice show if a bit small for a two-dayer/ Some nice RAF & Luftwaffe wifs on one stand inc. a Vickers High Altitude Fighter in desert finish - very nice.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Radish

My abiding memory of the Southern Expo was how small it all was. About half the size of the Hinckley Show.
I honesttly can't see why there's a fuss about it.

Anyway....
from Meir today, managed to sell a few and bought :

Trumpeter Finback Shenyang F-8II in 1/72nd...possibly N.Korean
Revell Su-25 Frogfoot in 1/72nd will be a WHITE Ukrainian one for IPMS Stafford's display
Pegasus Hobbies hurricane I in 1/48th...will be for SMW08 Competition as a "Crusader" Hurri ;D
Once you've visited the land of the Loonies, a return is never far away.....

Id agree with that Terry.
I drove down to Hornchurch (100 miles each way) today for my first ever visit to the show, and for a show of its reputation, I was amazed at how small it was, and its a 2 day show as well. Unlike most shows ive been to this was one were the number of traders out numbered the club displays. almost all the well known traders includeing Hannants, and a few new (to me) club displays, with plenty of undertable sales. So buying wise its a good little show. But wasnt realy worth a 200 mile round trip. In the end all I brought was a load of xtracylic's from Hannants. and a few decal sheets from Paul Davis.

Mind u first show in quite a while that ive been to as a paying punter rather than running a display stand.
I always hope for the best.

Payday and the wife was at work: recipe for styrene mayhem.
Doubled my stash of Evergreen scratchbuilding stock, picked up a few 1:48 F-15C's (Tamiya and the Monogram ones), a Hummer H2 kit (sucker), another Tamiya 1:48 Seiran (starting to like Japanese a/c---that's not a good thing for the wallet), and a little Airfix Mosquito (for the engines on 1:48 kitbashes).

How best to hide this from She Who Shares Our Bank Account Online Access?
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

My first ever order from Squadron just arrived.

1/48 Panda F-35K-it was on sale for $13.50 so I couldnt resist.  At this price it's cheaper than I see the Italeri 1/72 kit, and from looking in the box it appears to be very similar to that kit.  Detail is nice, except for the seat but thats and easy fix.  All in all it looks like a cracking god kit for whiffing.

1/72 Italeri Jaguar T.2-already have one in the stash, but it's a nice kit and was on sale for $7.99.

True Details 1/48 Martin Baker Mk2 seats-no real plans for them, just trying to accumulate a bit of a resin detail stash finally.

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

rallymodeller

Yesterday I picked up the Revell Germany 1/32 F-104G kit and the Leading Edge Decals 1 Canadian Air Division set to go with it, c/w RWR blisters. This one'll be a real-lifer.

BTW, anyone got an extra set of drop tanks for this beast? How about an extra 1/32 pilot?

Poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part...

More into Flight Sim reskinning these days, but still what-iffing... Leading Edge 3D

A Model 1/72 Ka-226 Ambulance, courtesy of thedarkmaster.  Cute little thing, awwwww!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

AeroplaneDriver

I stoppe by the LHS today and ended up walking out with a RoG 1/72 Su25.  I'm not a huge fan of Soviet stuff, but this one caught my eye and I have plans for it.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

kitnut617
