Hobby Boss 1:72 He 162
Hasegawa 1:72 F-20 Tigershark

Two nice little kits. I haven't built an aircraft model in forever (last one was an Airfix Spitfire Vb when I was about 10!), so these should ease me into it nicely. Thinking about doing the F-20 in mid-80s RAF markings, and the Salamander in post-war test colours. Have to look into that, though - see which country's scheme is prettiest...
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

Two Aurora Fokker D-VIIs - One in the original 50's boxing (and complete!) and one in the Monogram reissue from the 70's. Both dirt cheap. Also got a Hasegawa 1/144 scale Betty and a 1/144 F4U Corsair from a Japanese company I'd never heard of (not Sweet).

Revell 1/72nd:

SPAD XIII
Sopwith Camel
Nieuport 28

2 x 1/48th Hobby Boss FJ-4 Furies...one FJ-4, the other FJ-4B. Identical kits with different decals. Both look terrific, and one'll be real, from VMF-323 on Formosa/Taiwan in 1958 for the Quarter Scale Group (armed with fuel tanks and Sidewinders), whereas the other is a gift for Whiffing and Whiiffers. Fuel tanks, 'winders and 6 Bullpups are in each kit!! Crackin.

For the Whiffing I might...nay, WILL, get another one...or two....under a tenner...BARGAIN!!!

Whiffed= West German, Greek, Spanish, South Korean...lots of possibilities

Revell 1/200 Boeing SST, from P&S Models in York.

Is that the one along from bookshop in Fossgate, or the one by the Wall/Gate - cannot remember the street name ?

That's the one, strictly speaking on it's on Walmgate but I think it runs right into Fossgate just a short way past the shop.  If you're after an SST they've still got another, or you can have mine! Monkgate Models, as Geoff mentions is literally just on your right as you pass through Monkgate Bar.  I've got another errand that will take me straight by there tomorrow, I'll probably pop in & end up buying more stuff I need  & getting an ear bashing from the Missus!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Well, as mentioned nipped in to Monk Bar Models & came out with an Italeri 1/72 Agusta AB 204B.  Nearly picked up a Revell MH-53, but to be honest I want (need) an earlier model & I'll probably order the Bilek incarnation from Hannants as it's on offer at the mo.  I think the Bilek kits are just re-boxings of the Italeri kits, can anyone confirm this?

Well my previous stash/spares box having been 95% thrown out, I supose you could say my new stash has just started. Toured the local model shops yesterday with little result: very limited choice, and some multi-retailers like Hobbycraft, who were getting seriously into kits at one point, seem to have cut back their ranges significantly. However, I got off my backside this morning and went into Manchester to Modelzone: MUCH better (although still less choice than I remember from years ago, particularly in aircraft).

Pickings:

Italieri 1/72nd AB-204 (for the UFO GB) (Mossie, you're scaring me....)
Revell 1/144th RJ-85 (ditto, plus the gear might work for my triple Lightning idea)
Revell 1/72nd Merkava Mk.III (don't know yet: I just like them and it was cheap)
Italieri 1/72nd NATO aircrew set (cheap and looked generally useful)

Passed on:

Revell 1/72nd Tu-22 (for triple-engining as per my profiles thread): couldn't carry it (motorbike) and the sheer size of it might cause a domestic....
Revell 1/72 Lightning F.6 (for triple-engining): too damn dear!

Observations:

Either I'm out of touch with modern pocket money rates, or this is no longer a pocket money hobby. :o

Man is 1/48th expensive! . Think I'm sticking to 1/72nd for the forseeable.....

I had it in mind that I'd pick up some kind of cheap kiddies flying toy to provide three wings (without butchering two kits): basically a set of rotor blades in a ring launched by a ripcord, you know the sort of thing. Nothing, nada, not even in the grottiest of grot-shops. Anything flying is made of bendy foam these days: apparently, the old plastic blades could HURT A CHILD (Shock! Horror!) if they stuck their little fingers in them. Now call me an old fart, but when I was a kid, that was regarded as a learning experience: you did it once, mummy wiped your tears away and stuck a plaster on your finger, you learnt not to stick your fingers in spinny things, and you grew up to be a better class of helicopter ground crew......

Got some bits today to do a restoration on a Hasegawa 1/48 F-15.  It was in Israeli colours - one of earliest models when I returned to the hobby, and the (below average) quality isn't up to my (average) level today.  It suffered particularly badly in the house move, so I figured it was time to "pimp my Eagle"

Aries seats x 2, Aries burner cans - the ones without the Turkey Feathers, the quality on these is unbelievable.

And a set of TwoBobs decals to do this beauty

Well since it is a "Fujimi", why not do it in a JMSDF scheme similar to one of these?

Wow, you got yourself a couple of bargains there!  £3.50 for a Fujumi Spey Phantom?  9 quid for an Airfix Lightning?

Nice work!
