Airfix 1/48 Lightning F-2A/F.6, unopened $18-one of my Holy Grail kits, finally!!
Fujimi 1/72 F-4M Phantom 'Shark Teeth', unopened $7

Wow, you got yourself a couple of bargains there!  £3.50 for a Fujumi Spey Phantom?  9 quid for an Airfix Lightning?

Nice work!

Yeah Nev, I was really happy with both of those.  The Lovely Wife tried to get me an Airfix Lightning at Christmas, but lost out on Ebay at the last minute on a $50+ kit that had been opened.   So even she was happy about this find!
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

NARSES2

Just back from Perth show - those Roman roads arn't as straight as you think

PS - ask Aircav how to realy make a Sat Nav sulk

All in 1/72

Airfix Fulmar and Tempest V
Olimp Folland Gnat F.1/FR.1 and B & V HA.137 V.2
Fujimi Spit 14e

Two Sky transfer sheets - SM79 Sparvio and Italian bombers, full of lovely unit markings. I do think the RA had some of the best unit markings going.

Some tools

And from Hannants on my return - Xtradecal Sea Vixen sheet plus masks for a Liberator and Lancaster

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Radish

For my birthday daughter bought me a Revell 1/72nd Mustang III :wub:and her chap bought me a Revell 1/72nd Tempest V :o :o :o as originally produced in around 1966? Useful for spares though.

a 1/72 Academy P-40

and a little bottle of green paint.

   Airfix 1:72 Mosquito II/VI/XVIII arrived a bit late, but arrived nonetheless. One very happy and very excited Kiwi. Yes, the Tamiya one's probably nicer in every way but I'm moving into 48th anyway.....besides, I could buy TWO Airfix Mossies for the price of one Tamiya!

A nice little package arrived today from the fine folks at Twobos:

Twobobs 1/48 'F-16C OIF Swamp Foxes' South Carolina ANG sheet-I've got a couple of friends in this unit, so I may do a RW build with this sheet.

Xtradecal 1/72 Sea Vixen FAW.1 & FAW.2 sheet-lovely sheet with some nice RN markings that may find their way onto Skyhawks, Crusaders, Skyrays, etc...
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Showed up in the mail today:

All 1/72 Hobby Boss

P-51

Me-109

FW-190

MiG-3

I've never built a Hobby Boss kit before, but these all look to have an excellent fit. They seem to be very simple builds which will allow me to move on to the greater fun of biplaning, adding spats and doing whiffy makrings and paint schemes.

RoG 1/72 Hunter F6 [good value at £6]
airfix HS Dominie
italeri Harrier GR3 [old esci kit but crap decal sheet, not that that worries me!]

Yesterday I visited both Hungate's and Debbie's RC World.  I don't have much to show for the excursion, just

Testors Acrylics for Aircraft
some brushes
Hasegawa 1/700 Japanese Navy Destroyer Kasumi
Squadron HU-16 Albatross in Action

I love these 1/700 ship kits!  Every one I've purchased (with the exception of the Trumpeter Wisconsin) has a sprue of extra bits that aren't used for the kit.  The "X" sprue in this kit has extra mountings of several different IJN AAA guns, as well as small boats, and one each of Rufe, Glen, Rex and Seiran floatplanes.

From Doncaster today as I was there for the IPMS(UK)AGM with Martin H and Falcon, Geoff B and others....

just a restrained buy (I was very restrained!):

Revell 1/72nd Fokker Triplane DR1....it really is delightful. All my triplanes will remain as such, but wear a variety of colours, some real, some not, for my Biggles Collection...(I've identified 80+ models in different schemes just baserd on his WW1 adventures!)

An Italeri 1/72nd YF-22 which will be modified into a speculative Chinese fighter....I have the artwork and it looks cool in gloss white! For IPMS Stafford's Nationals display.

Which Hungates Jason?

Greenbrier Mall in Chesapeake.  They used to be in a larger store on the Sears end of the Mall, but about eighteen months ago, they got kicked down to a smaller location near Dillard's.  When they were at the other end, they had the biggest model selection I've ever seen anywhere, with ships, aircraft, armor, scifi, mecha and a little of everything else.  They carried all the major manufacturers, too: Dragon, Revell, Fujimi, Tamiya, Hasegawa, et al.  Now, they've been renamed "Creative Toy and Hobby by Hungates".  The RPG/wargaming stuff is gone, and the models just take up a small area on the back wall.  They've got a lot of auto stuff, some aircraft in various scales, and not much else.  I did see the reissued Revell BSG kits, as well as a couple of the new RoG Star Wars snap kits.
