You beat me to it Lee, I was just looking in Hannants.  I didn't know Aeroclub sold them though, guess I'm writing to Pete today   ;D

2 x 1/72nd Fujimi MiG-21bis...the "Lancer" boxing and the Finnish boxing.
1/48th Lindberg SE.5A....4-blade prop, different engine and armament from the Revell kit. Nice. It'll still, of course, be whiffed....another Israeli one but different.

Picked up a Revell Jaguar for a project today from the LMS and a 1/48 Revell F-86D, super kit with fantastic detail, going to do it real world, it'll be my first attempt with Alclad and I'll have a look on sunday at the Tyneside show for some different transfers.

Ok, so excited I just had to post!

Tamiya 1:48 Mosquito NF.II/FB.VI. To be whiffed. Woo!

Just paid for it, but won't be here for a wee bit :( scored off NZ's eBay clone, TradeMe.

Stopped by Hobby Lobby and my LSH today.  At HL I had the 40% coupon and got a RM F-14 for under $10, as well as a couple of brushes which were 50% off.  Then at the LHS I got an Italeri 1/72 Wessex.  I've never been a big Wessex fan, but for some reason it's growing on me.  The plan now is for it to be OOB, including the kit decals, but in a Brit-nam whif camo scheme with a door gun and either an external cannon or rocket pod.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

From the Sprue Bros bargain bin:

Dragon 1/200 B-2 & F-117A.An ancient kit - the F-117A looks like a caricature of an F-117. Useless except for parts. The B-2 looks perfect for whifing. Which it will.

Dragon 1/200 B-52H. Looks like a nice kit, especially The Houndog AGM. This one will be a jet engine and misc gear donor, though.

Dragon 1/35 scale Ambush! Eastern Front. Nicely detailed figures and gear - very useful for non-German figure kitbashing.

Well it's been over a year since I fed the ebsy monster, but this past week I went on a bit of a fling and picked up a bunch of kits on there at good prices. (The Stash Acquisition Act of 2008 I call it).

First box arrived today with:

1/72 Academy Super Etendard
1/72 Hase Lightning F.6
1/72 Italeri T-45 Goshawk

$15 for the lot, shipping included.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

My birthday is fast approaching, so it was time to get myself a gift.

Eastern Express 1/72 Polikarpov I-185 from The Model Shop in Hull.  The intention was to use it's engine for another project, but I might well build it OOB since the I-185 never made it to production.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

More stuff, some ebay, some shop-bought this afternoon;

Airfix 1/72nd F-4

Airfix 1/72nd Lysander

Matchbox 1/144th MiG-23 (thought the swing-wings might scalerama onto a 1/72 trainer, but now I've played around with it, turns out it would have to be a bloody small one: sub-Gnat....)

Smer Hi-tech 1/72nd Me262 A-1a/Avia S92 (was impressed enough with this in the box to buy it with a view to putting it aside and doing it straight when I've re-built a bit more skill. However, reading some reviews tonight, it seems it looks better than it builds, so it comes down to suck it and see, I suppose......)

Today the Ebay Fairy brought me a Hase 1/72 F-111E.  $23, shipping included, which  I thought was a good deal.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

I had that 262 kit and the fuselage just doesn't want to go together, the problem being that they retooled the Heller two seater and kept the tub.  Replace it with one from a Revell kit or alternately, try convering it to the Schnellbomber variant with the cockpit in the nose.  he rest of the kit is fine.

The builder in the review I was reading simply cut the back half of the tub off: the "ragged end" is invisible under the rear canopy deck anyway.....
