Silver Cloud 1/48 Martin Baker MB5 via Aviation Megastore (in Holland)

Brave man. I got one of those when it was first released, and gave up on it 5 years later.
I always hope for the best.

I don't usually do 1/48 Martin, I've got about six IIRC out of about 900 in the stash but because I received the 1/48 Spitfire Mk.XVI when I signed on to the Airfix Club and then recently got the Eduard 1/48 Spitfire Mk.22/24 (also Airfix) to go with it I decided to find some others that I really like in 1/48 to go with them.  Then I spotted this MB5, which is one of my all time favorite aircraft along with late model Spits & DH Hornets and had read that the Silver Cloud was an accurate copy of the MB5.  After opening the box I was really surprised at the amount of flash that literary covers all the pieces and realize I've got my work cut out to get this to look good and it has changed my mind about trying to find a Silver Cloud Spiteful to go with it.
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

McGreig

From eBay:

1/75 Heller Couzinet-70 "Arc-En-Ciel" - to become a Spanish Republican bomber

2 x 1/72 Matchbox Fairey Seafox - one to donate its engine to another project, one to be a Soviet lend-lease aircraft

1/72 Wings vacform Yokosuka R2Y1 - partly inspired by Martin's weekend build and partly by a desire to do something different - I've only ever built two vacforms, both more than 15 years ago. Will probably be converted to the proposed R2Y2 jet.

Weaver

From ebay, all Airfix 1/72nd:

Boomerang, possibly to donate it's wing & wheels and/or it's engine to the Super Lysander

Seahawk, for the Bombhawk project

Zero. No idea: made up the job lot!

;D My FOURTH 1:72 Mossie (and sixth or so Mossie of any scale) in as many weeks. Go figure.

Mmmmmmmmmm.....I don't remember seeing a kit that looked SO good in the box. I'd love to know why Airfix never did the bomber version with a separate nose - MB have certainly got it right here. And the lovely gent I got this off - for £5! - also included another sprue of clear parts. Awesome!

NARSES2

Xtrakit Sea Vixen arrived yesterday - looks very good in the box
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Bought myself a 1/48 revell Arado 234 today, bit of therapy, had a bad day.

A-Model Yak-130, probably to be a BAe/Yak co-operation to replace the Hawk, RAF gloss black
and a couple of Revell Heyfords, to become 4 engined development

A scrap (fuselage badly built up) Airfix MiG-21F arrived yesterday off ebay. I only wanted the wings and the canopy so that's okay. Could have done with the u/c too, but the main gear legs were missing, although in all fairness, it did have half a WWII tip float in it...............
