A very pleasant surprise showed up with a light knock on the door this afternoon:   Airfix 1/48 Canberra and a 1/48 Aeroclub Spitfire Mk.IX correction fuselage.

Airfix Meteor F8 (looks like the Xtrakit one, without resin) & Hobbyboss F-86F Sabre, markings to be swapped to give a Luftwaffe Meteor & Belgian F-86...

This is the second reference I've read to the Airfix Meteor Mk.8 and I was really puzzled as I hadn't seen one before, so I went onto the Airfix website and low and behold --- there it is  :o  Cheap too  :o  I think I will have to get a couple as I have the MPM Mk.9 version of this kit ( I can get two Airfix kits for the same price as one MPM kit  :o )

indeedy another good day and more fallout from yesterday....

another thing i did was to send £17 via the special delivery service of RM to a certain address south of lincoln
for an advance purchase ticket for either day 5 or 6/07/2008. using track and trace. it was delivered from the
RM lincoln delivery office this morning! the PO within was made payable to and crossed... they are so helpful at
the RM these days..... to......

oh! a fuller report on the decal sheet when i can [in the airfix meteor F8]. 'tis very good and includes FAB markings
[Force Aerienne Belge] and one RAF sqn but both sets of markings have wiffy possiblities. the RoG  :tornado: is
donating some bits towards an F-106X thingy i have seen in ASP fighters/interceptors to 1978,   ;D

Not a model but a set of 1/32 Zotz transfers for the F-16, tried all over the place for these and finally managed to track down a set in Panama City, Panama. Sent them the money via Western Union and 13 days later they arrived here in the UK, cool, now means I can do my Singaporean Nimrod so to Ricardo at Scale models and parts many thanks :thumbsup:

Spats!   Lots of spats.  New tool spats and spatted reissues that haven't been available for a long time.    And a set of floats and a boat.

100% of my Q2 and Q3 purchases have now arrived.

Just shows the international scale of the hobby + Panama to Wearside quicker then our friends in Lowestoft normally manage it !

A few additions today.  First a dirt cheap unopened MPC (airfix) Lynx in the Falklands box from the ebay fairy.  Second package was from the fine people at Hannants, containing:

Pro Resin 1/72 Folland Gnat (my first resin kit!!)
Airwaves PE Wingfold set for the Airfix 1/48 Bucc
Almark 1/72 SEAC roundels and fin flashes
E.D. Models 1/72 RAF Hawk 1987 display aircraft decals
3 x unknown brand (listed that way on Hannants site) 1/200 Delta MD-80 decals (mainly for the door and window decals for my RAF Queens Flight MD-90)
Modeldecal British post-war black letters, numbers, titles decal sheet
Xtradecal 1/72 RAF stencils, roundels, etc for Hawk, Harrier, Jag, Tornado
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Over at Chestermoor this afternoon and got a 1/48 Tamiya Heinkel He162 and off EB tonight a 1/72nd Triebekugel VTOL plus a 1/72 Messerschmitt Me209, both Huma  :thumbsup:
