Bit of a mega-haul arrived from the ebay fairy today.  I think the postie must have been hoarding them!

First purchase was a lot of 5 kits I got for $8.  Shipping was $25, which I think may have scared some bidders off, but actual shipping cost was more, so the poor seller lost money on the shipping.  Anyway for a total of $33 I got:

Revell 1/48 F-15E-new, bags sealed
Monogram 1/48 F-106-opened, cockpit nicely painted
Monogram 1/48 F-14A-opened cockpit, intakes nicely painted
Monogram 1/72 B-1B-opened, cockpit nicely painted
Testors 1/48 SR-71-opened cockpit beautifully painted (actually though it was a decal at first!).

Today's other ebay arrivals were:

Monogram 1/72 P-6 Hawk-1968 boxing still sealed in cellophane
LS 1/72 BD-5/5J-partially assembled
Hobbycraft 1/48 A-4C + 2 True Details Escapac seats
Airfix 1/48 Lightning F.6 (finally found one on ebay that wasnt $30+)
Xtradecal TSR.2 whif decal sheet #2-new

And the final package today was not from the ebay fairy, but was from Chris (Narses) who had kindly offered to pick up an Airfix Meteor F.8 for me.

Thanks Chris!!

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

In Calgary today and stopped by one of the LMS' I frequent, picked up an Airfix 1/72 Puma and a Revell 1/72 Sea King Mk.6/AEW, I think Airfix missed the boat on this one. Also picked up some thin plywood (1/16) for my C-17 vacuform, I've decided to make a skeleton frame for it.

Picked up a 1/72 Revell Bf-110E today at Chestermoor, bit disappointed, thought it may of been the re-boxed Iteleri kit but its the old Revell one, nice transfers tho and it was only £4.95 so not alls lost. ;D

Based on comments in my thread about the Monogram Orient Express spaceplane kit, I went out this afternoon and got the two I found on the back shelf of a local discount shop.  The kit only has 6 pieces (it's a snap-tite kit), but it looks like a nice blank canvas for whiffing.  My initial thoughts are for either an OOB build with some Delta decals I have or scale-o-rama it with a 1/72 cockpit and canopy as a sub-orbital interceptor.

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

I thought it was the old Monogram kit Steve ? Built that as a teenager  Quite liked it then
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Radish

Neil Robinson built the Monogram 1/72nd kit as one of his "Battle Of Britain" series that he built in the last century...1980s?? Still on display at Hendon??

Bought a toy Star Wars StormTrooper that'll be re-sprayed and mounted on a base. :dalek:

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
