Didn't realise it was out yet, might have to pick one up.  Here's hoping for a MQ-9 Reaper & Global Hawk.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Not related to each other in any way..... Freightdogs' new Anti Flash roundels, a whole slew of decal sheets from eBay - including three quite rare Modeldecal sheets, and an Italeri (nee Accurate Miniatures) 1:48 IL2M3 (only £14.00 from Shrewsbury Model Centre via eBay).

The Anti Flash roundels will be applied tosomething 'Whiffish' but you'll never, never, believe what I'm planning so there's no point telling y'all about it

From the store at Starship Modeler:

Revell 1/72 ARC-170 (Star Wars Episode III)
Bandai 1/72 Swordfish II (from Cowboy Bebop)

I have no immediate plans for either kit.  I've wanted the Swordfish for a looong time, though, and threw the ARC-170 in to fill out the order.  Both kits have a WWII-ish scifi look to them.  Now that I think about it, either kit might look nice in hinomarus.

The Arc-170 has potential - make the engines look more like Japanese WWII jet engines, rearrange the winglets and add canards and you have a three seat Shinden - maybe a Japanese response to the P-61.

All 1/72nd, all from ebay;

Academy MiG-23 : various bits wanted for various projects, various other bits giving me various ideas....

another Airfix MiG-21

and

another Airfix Mirage III

and

another Airfix Me262

The first two just because they're cheap delta wing donors, and the last one because the last cheap wing donor 262 I got had a one part badly moulded (unfilled mould). Guess which part, go on, guess....

Model Hobbies have managed to lose the two Bilek Whirlwinds I ordered, which were the last two they had in stock..... :banghead:

I was thinking of picking one up - Japanese Coast Guard (what else?), but its a tricky scheme to paint with all that curved trim  :banghead:

A nice package arrived from Mr. Hannant today.  After Chris sent me an Airfix Meteor I read about the BOGOF offer on the Xtrakit version from Hannants and just couldnt resist.  I added a few others I was after to make up the minimum order.

2 x Xtrakit 1/72 Meteor F.8
1 x Airfix Meteor F.8
1 x RoG 1/72 Typhoon
2 x RoG 1/144 Hunter FGA.9
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

kitnut617

Got a package from Mr Hannant too yesterday, my two Xtrakit Meteor Mk.8s I ordered and a 1/72 Special Hobby Fairey Firefly TT Mk.4, but the two Airfix Meteors Mk.8s I ordered at the same time weren't in the package

Saw one in my LMS today but at a tenner I thought it was very pricey, for the amount of plastic you get.

Bit of an understatement there simon.  picked one up last night at MAM, and had it built in under 5 mins.  £3.99 would have been more realalistic price wise.  But no doubt they will be blaming the increases in oil prices for such high priceing for such a small model made up of 21 parts................
I always hope for the best.

experience has taught me to expect the worst.
