for something completely different I bought a Tamiya 1/700 Kursk sub & a pack of Trumpeter 1/700 S-3 Vikings... the sub will be real but the S-3 won't be USN  :o

quite fancy doing some aircraft carriers too... chance (time) would be a fine thing...

Mossie

I speed read that & for a moment I thought you were going to kitbash the Kursk with S-3 wings. Compleltey mis-read it, but it sounds like a good idea!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

hmm, and i haven't finished yet....

from a charity shop, also antics and recently elsewhere.....

airfix PBY-5A catalina [RAF Mk.IIIA] for £2.45p! [it will aid my nigerian navy catalina no end... ]
airfix shorts stirling [this is a real world one as i have a niece with the initials that are the 7 sqn option in the kit]
RoG repop of the A-1E/AD-5 skyraider [i feel a zwilling able dog in the offering....  ]
academy 1/72 KC-97G [hush-hush HP project]
airfix E-3D/F sentry [something brazillian and no its NOT what you are thinking!]
Keeper of George the Cat.

Mossie

I've got fond memories of that Airfix Cat Trev, went to an airshow & saw a Catalina displaying when I was kid.  I pretty much fell in love with the aircraft & had to get the kit & it was one of my best attempts at the time.  If I saw it now I probably wouldn't think so, all gluey fingerprints, no filler & messy canopy, but I had fun!

Siku 1/32nd scale die-cast metal and plastic snowmobile.  It was $3.50 plus sales tax.  I think I paid too much but finding a 1/32nd scale snowmobile around here is not easy.

"1/864" UFO from Light Force - comes with a multi-colored LED light circuit

Ohh Kaaayyyyyy - Now call me 'old Mr Skeptical' but how can we/you/they prove that it's 1:864.... where's the prototype and/or the plans - Area 57 I s'pose.... (Queue X-Files theme !)

Now I'm suffering a wee bit of a modelling-mid-life crisis.... finding m'self almost Whiffed-out, I've been buying loadsa decal sheets off eBay (especially for 1:48 P-51's - and I only have four in the stash). And now I have started migrating to 1:35 NOT AFV's (tanks) but half-tracks, trucks, towed AA/AT and figures, plus diorama bits and pieces. Just won an old Italeri Zundap motorcycle combo and a Tamiya 20mm Flak 38.... still looking for a Tamiya (towed) 37mm Flak though

A handful of 1/72nd OARS for the Viking Catalina (mot Sunderland, as I've got a PBY in the stash). I could use the Do-18 though, I suppose.
They were tea/coffee stirrers at AVON but ideal for 1/72nd oars.

Hasn't Mav done some Be-6's, among them some in RAF Coastal Command colours?  If you get your skates on, you could enter it into the profiles build! ;D

Good finds!

That's why I put it in quotes. I'll just do a scalearama to whatever scale I want it to be. There are no obvious size references, so it could be microscopic (10000:1 scale) or enormous (1:10,000,000 scale).
