From ebay;

Another Airfix Gnat (just to fill the box the first one of the other two came in, you understand....)

The Glencoe 1/32nd XV-1

Definately going down the FAC route with this, but although the airframe is pretty good, the interior is poor and with all the glazing there's nowhere to hide. Add to that the FAC mods (replace rear bench seat with forward and offset observer with radio rack alongside) and, I'll need to do a fair bit of research and then a fair bit of scratchbuilding, so don't hold your breath for this one.

Off eBay, 1/72 Matchbox A-10 and Squadron Mini-In-Action.  I'm rather tempted to follow the path of others here and take advantage of the design of the Matchbox kit's wing to do a navalized one; but I'm not sure whose Navy.

Mexican, go on, she'll look great with their naval markings.

Hope you bring enough for 3  :drink: ;D

Yesterdays purchases -

Revell (Matchbox ?) 1/72 Do 28. Thinking RAF Germany liason or maybe a FAA "Admiral's Barge"
Revell 1/72 Fairey Gannet - will be real, frees my Trump one up to WIF

The New Tool Tamiya 1/48 scale Zero. Theyv'e done this in honour of the 50th aniversary of the Japanese plastic kit industry and she is an absolute stunner  Will be real
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Radish

4x 1/48th decal sheets for various bombers....

Eagle Strike Marauding Havocs Part 1
Aeromaster Marauding Mitchells Part II
Aeromaster  Marauding Mitchells Part IV
EagleCals B-25C/D 320 Dutch Sqn.

My idea is "to confuse"

I've more on order, plus some various other "nose art" specials, and I'll allocate names/markings/schemes to create totally eronious but authentic looking B-25s and A-20s for the QuarterScaleGroup. They'll not know whether they're real or not, and some WILL be real. I'll, of course, add stories :o :o

A few arrivals today.

From the fine folks at Two Bobs:

Xtradecal 1/48 TSR.2 Whif sheet Part 2-nice Boscombe markings!
Twobobs 1/72 T-38 Talon Tango #1-nice markings for the late gray and black T-38s...now that USAF can get some Hawks!

I also have some of the TSR.2 sheets coming from Hannants that I preordered with the kit.

From the ebay fairy:

Monogram 1/48 AH-64-another 99c Apache!
Hobbycraft 1/72 DHC-8-100-finally broke bown and bought this piece of poo to see what I can make of it.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Plus it looks closer to 1/40 than 1/32 going by the lumpy, misshapen figures (one or two - I forget). I was going to make mine into a gunship. The interior really needs a lot of work, and the working hatches are no help.

From ebay: 1/72nd Airfix Bristol Belvedere, for RAF Vietnam CSAR pair with a Gannet.

Warped fuselage (fixable) and the whole front end is one glazing with no proper frame lines on it.....
