Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

4 pots of Revell Aquacolor paint. These are not for me but a birthday gift for my sisters boyfriends 9 year-old boy.

Gotta encourage the hobby somehow!

That's someone's carpet covered in paint then - have you tried opening these little b's  Or is it just me being aged challenged ?  ;D

We have a new model shop in Croydon - Panther Scale Models - really just like an "under the table show rummage" with a good paint selection at the moment but it is run by proper modellers so hopefully will get better (Croydon MZ is going to pot).

Anyway in solidarity I bought a Hasegawa P-38 but in an Aniverary D-Day boxing I've never seen.

Twist the lids, don't pull.  They come off quite easily then & you can avoid an unintentional redecoration!

I'm not saying a word.  I'm already in the book, don't want it double underlining!!! :o

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Not wishing to appear churlish but how can you twist a square shaped box ? We are talking Revel Aquacolour here. The container "lid" hinges at the back of the box. I for one have a rotten time opening the things - am I missing something obvious ?

As for double underlining. We've moved on and now use nice green hi-lighters  ;D

Erm he's right Chris, those aint hinges they are just locking guides for when you replace the lid. The twisting 90 degress raises the lid in a cork screw motion so it pops up effortlessly as shown in the guides at the sides of the pots...  :banghead:

Picked up the Trumpeter E-10 tank Destroyer from HMW yesterday and collected the Dragon Panther F i had won on ebay from the post office. Both are for a collection of late war armour prototypes. (Well makes a change from Aircraft once in a while)

Also from HMW were an Italeri Hawk 100 and a Revell Flizer.

If you mean the Hawk 100, then I second that question, just having been looking thoughtfully at it in Hobbycraft.....

What I did buy from Hobbycraft today, whilst on an emergency varnish run, was the Revell AD-5 Skyraider (the side-by-side seating one). Now I KNOW this is an old and poor kit, but all I really want from it is the canopy, which will be going on my Javelin-based Avro strike fighter either cut down to make an Avenger bomber or as-is to make an Ambassador courier aircraft. Mind you, the Skyraider's engine cowling is unlikely to go to waste.......

Yeah, the outside of the pot is square, but the inside is a cylinder, so the lid turns easily.  Got to agree with you Chris, there's nowt wrong with my eyes (despite my mothers warnings!) & don't find the instructions on the pot very clear.

I bug**red come the invasion!!!
