Revell Fw "Flitzer" and Horten Go 229!
Cheers,

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

last night at the model club and this afternoon at antics.....

1/72 RoG Fw 190A-8/R-11 [nightfighter variant]

Other than the 1/700 and 1/1000 scale figures I printed, I also got two 1/144 scale planes - the Minicraft B-26 and the Minicraft Aichi Jake. Neither comes with an interior. I don't know what I'll do with the Jake yet, but the B-26 will definitely be whiffed into a COIN aircraft, maybe with turboprops.

That's why I'll probably build it wheels-up. ;D Looks better anyway. I think the Go 229's undercarriage looks rather ungainly and destroys a lot of the otherwise futuristic lines.

Two more from the ebay fairy, and despite the best efforts of the post office:

1. Heller Caudron Renault 714. Bought for the princely sum of £1.04 (plus £2.50 P&P) . Was in a nice-but-oversized box, until the monkey who delivered it squashed it flat to force it through the letterbox, rather than ringing the bell and waiting one minute (we WERE in and awake)    Fortunately, since it's a very small plane, it wasn't damaged, but if I was a collector I'd be fire-bombing the sorting office about now........

No definite plans for this one yet: the plane and the price just took my fancy.

2. New Airfix Meteor F.8. To get NF.14 outer wings plus tip tanks and LOTS of rockets, making it a "Ripper" ground-attack aircraft. (The NF will get the F.8 outers and wingtip early AAMs).

Nice little kit, built one of mine as a floatplane with the floats from an Airfix Auster "Antarctica"
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

My girlfriend got me an early birthday present today:

Cool yer jets! Just wait until I send that parcel I planned before ye de any butchery. Much easier to do a cut and shut with what I'll be sending.

Anyhoo, today I got some new Falcon canopies, Mosquitos natch.

That aimed at my Meteors?  ;D  If so, relax: they're WAY down the list.....

Revell 1/72 Sopwith Camel, pressie from the Missus after a work trip to Canada.  I've no idea what to do with biplanes!!!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
