hmm,

airfix 1/72 strikemaster
RoG Gannet AS1 [has anyone noticed just how thin the cockpit hood transparencies are in
this kit? 2 of the 3 in this kit were kaput on opening and RoG are hopefully going to provide
some replacements]

btw, the subject of floats and DHC beavers. never did find a use for the floats
but the rest of the kit is really rather good.

3 x 1/72nd Hasegawa F-16s for a "special project".
They'll appear at Bolton.

I might book us in on Saturday night up there so we can have a nice full day.

Isn't the Rebok where they attempt to play football? :tank:

If you want to do a Beaver (no snickering at the back there  ) look for the Airfix kit as it has clear windows whereas the Hobbycraft kit doesn't.

All were in their original packaging and un-opened except the Tutor which has been started, mainly the parts being cut out of the sheet.  Biggest surprise was the 1/100 and 1/144 stuff, all injection but checking in the PAK-20 book it has them at all different scale than what is shown on the headers.  Originally the listing had 2 DC-3's but they turned out to be DC-7s and the 1/48 CF-100 is a really nice vacuform with really crisp mouldings.

It is indeed Tel. Nice De Vere hotel built into the ground. There's a Premier Inn just over the road as well. With a Beefeater or whatever on the same complex. Very near where the show is held, although me and Steve still got lost  :banghead:

Fianlly got to Hannats today after months of trying. To say I was disappointed is a major undrstatemet! I wasn't able to get ANY 1/72 Xtradecals sets I wanted, but then there were NO 1/72 xtradecal sets in the bloody shop. Still I did come away with an ACE T62 MBT for one of my Cold War builds.

I was disappointed to see that the new shop is only a shadow of the previous one. Still the service was the same - I was ignored until I wanted to pay for something. I don't think I will be making the trek up there again for a long time to come! I think I'll get all my stuff from them via mail order in future.  OK, sorry. Rant over.

Can't disagree with you Lance. For those of us who remember the old shop it is a come down. It's also a long walk from the station now. I only pop in if I'm going to Hendon now, whereas before I would sometimes go in my lunch hour

Just bought the new Dragon 1/350 USS Momsen (DDG-92), looks really nice, a few less parts than I was expecting but that must be down to the mould technology, should build up nicely  ;D

Frog Sea Venom from ebay, unboxed, with no decals or instructions, for a couple of quid. Supect it might be Novo actually: loads of flash and a dire, thick and yellow canopy. Nice RPs though. Probably going straight in the spares box.
