Following the trails of the RB.50 Trent propeller-turbine on a Meteor F.3, the air ministry decided that a new batch of Lancaster would be ordered for the upcoming invasion of japan which would be powered by this new engine. During the trials of the engine Rolls Royce estimated the new aircraft would have a celling of around 52000 ft with only two uprated Trents, so it was decided to fit a pressurised compartment smiler to the one trailed on a wimpy and redusing the crew to 4 as no gunners would be needed..
The fist squadron to receive the new aircraft was 617 squadron who used them during the bombing of Japan flying from bases in Guam  at night using their radars to hit targets from hight.

An unholy mixing of wood and styrene...I love it !

Love it, I wonder if the Unicraft Wellington Mk.V/VI conversion would work here too.  Just a little bit of nit-picking here, but maybe it should be a Mk.VIII or IX because there was a small number of Mk.VI's used on operations.  These were powered by Merlin 85's (IIRC) and had annular radiator nacelles like a Shackleton.

could I suggest something else, Lenny100.  move the tailplane to the top of the fuselage, like a Shackleton, so that it's out the way of the jet blast.

usually, in my eyes cutting up a lancaster is a sin, that aircraft is a little holy to me

I confess that old airplanes are not my suit. But this build is really an out-of-the-envelope undertaking. I looooove the subject as is  and I definately looove  the way you are building and mixing materials!!!
