Gents-

Took the day off and decided to spend some time painting up a project I've had in the back of my head for a long time.

RoG's 1/48 Typhoon. Will post more as things progress.

How did the country lose its way...when did we stop rooting for the man with a flame-thrower or an acid-spraying gun of some kind?

Looking good, David! I'm intrigued by the plain blue roundels and fin flash. I think you've got a real beauty in the works!

Well, Dunkeld and Aberfeldy are both small towns in Perthshire, Scotland and the post's title is a quote from Dougie Maclean's "Perthshire Amber".

So I'm guessing the blue circles may be the background for white St Andrew's crosses for a Scottish or Caledonian air force.

Although it'll probably turn out to be Uzbekistan after all - - -

Oh, and I really like the colour scheme, by the way

McGreig figured it out, both the song reference and the air force.

This will be an EF-2000 from the Scottish Air Force. White stripes will be added to the blue backgrounds using decal film.

I'm going to do some touching up of the scheme today. The patch of field blue on the port wing got a bit out of control, so I need to tighten it up with some more gray and green.

Roundels and fin flash are finished. Kind of reminds me of Swiss markings.
