I say Ohhh YEAAAHHH!!!! too! I love the evil, predatory look the V-tail and revised canards give it! It looks like a bird fit for modern-day sky pirates! Yarrrrr!

OH YEAHHHH!!!!!, too!!

This is a marvelous conversion of a phabulous bird!!!

I can picture this variation serving still in the skies of several former operators. And complementing those Wild Weasels used in Gulf War I.

Ah! should look killer in digi camo!!!

And today's weapons

Maybe not after you see what I've done to it now. :o This will be my second 4 engine build on a jet that only came with two. ;D  I'm waiting for the putty to dry right now....

Two things have changed about this project. One, I was going to go this as a ASAT bird, but AD beat me to it, so I decided to make a high altitude Wild Weasel. Also, taking a cue from the Israelis, I decided to add a few things to make that mission happen. My Jag donated the intakes and engines for the extra power as air breather and also be the power (with the help of an oxidizer in the long fuselage ) the thin upper atmosphere. ;D

Wow!
I hate that you're ditching the ASAT idea because I'm building one.  After all, mine will be leaving service by the late 1970s, just in time to be replaced by this beast.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Actually, I credit you for the change in mission and I like what I've come up with. I envision a Wild Weasel that can be up on patrol that can operate against ASATs and high attitude interceptors and could be pressed into a ASAT mission.;)

So...perhaps as my Raven heads out on an ASAT mission it will be escorted by a flight of these just in case there are MiG-25XLs out waiting...?
