I got a couple of 1/144 Phantoms and this morning at about 0300, I got this idea and here's how it panned out...

Love it Eddie! One thought: V-tail! I'd take the left over tail and add it on as it looks a bit sparse back there.

Nothing beats complicating something simple huh?

Cool, almost like a mini-backfire. Anti shipping?

Simple but very effective - looking forward to seeing where this goes from here.

That's a good idea! Now I'm torn between adding the extra stab, but I want something that looks unique on the shelf. Here's the last F-4 I did with twin tails. Would be too much of a copy?

Yowsa Eddie that V-tail version is gorgeous! I really like the tiger-stripe camo! Our good friend Mr Howling Mouse would suggest adding a T-tail and I think it would really look killer.

Canards and a T-tail, now that's something you don't see every day!

My auto-notification program just alerted me to the use of the term "T-Tail"    Ahhhhh....

I think BdaB's right about the tail needing something to balance it out.  How 'bout a bigger (regular) tailfin and a small dorsal fin about mid fuselage?

Either way, this is so cool right off the bat...

Come to think of it a V-tail would work well and not just copy the tiger stripe example as that one also has horizontal stabs. The image I have is to chop off the tail and the one from the spare kit and repostion them just a shade above the slots for the horizontal stabs.

hmm, eddie. why not move those 'canard foreplanes' up the side of the intake flanks a bit rather like istr
the F-4CCV experimental variant had?

good work so far!
