A project I have been waiting for a while to tackle, and this gb provides the perfect excuse. Returned from the LHS with bag of goodies today!

Best......

I might still have the game but where it is I don't know.
Lots of miniatures available in 1/285th from Warehouse 23.

Did you see this one?

There also was a group that wargamed with homemade 1/35th scale versions of the equipment including several O.G.R.E.'s.  They would set up in a Gym sized area with terrain, etc and go for it.  Can't find anything on Google for them now but it was pretty cool.

I personally have wanted to do a BOLO or one of Hammer's Slammers.

Neat, but kind of small for OGRE's ?  50 meters...in 1/35th, you are talking about a serious chunk of styrene.  A 200 meter Bolo would indeed be something to see, in almost any scale! (1/350?)
I was tempted to do a 1/48th, but when the MkV topped out at over two feet in 1/72nd, I changed my mind. Well, my wife changed it for me. LOL  :dalek:

Neat links, wish there were more modern ones...we have a comic/scifi con this weekend in phx, will have to look for those guys.

Finally got some bogeys built...and into the molding silicone:

Hey! First one! Now...only...how many dozen will a MKIX need? Hmmm.

And I thought the Mk VI was a beast!!

GO MAN GO!!!

Should have the last of the original tread units done by friday, then they go into silicone for multiple casting. Lots and lots of casting. Lots.
Started working on the hull prototype for the fiberglass layup, hopefully pics soon. Not much to look at right now.

cthulhu77

sketches for the hull, and relative size in 1/72nd or thereabouts: (probably that scale for wargaming)

cthulhu77

master tread unit almost finished! I said almost...

Wow that's really impressive Greg! I'm always impressed by foilks that do their own resin casts. Let me know if you ever do any spats please.

Thanks, but my somewhat iffy talents in that department aren't up to speed quite yet, but I am improving. (and finding out that resin is only good for so long) Sir Baz does a number of casts per year, and with his new studio, should be building all kinds of stuff soon.

John Howling Mouse

Wow, Greg....this is now a bookmarked thread.  COOL!

BdaB: Yeah, I'll make you some spats already.  But in 1:48 scale so I can use them, too (I'm EEEEvil).

Go Greg Go!!!
