And of course, it needs catwalks, ladders, AAA gun turrets, maybe some SAM's, and lots of stowed equipment bags,...

Have fun.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

the "Posleen War" SF books by John Ringo also had Humungo-tanks (one was named "bun-bun")

Those used something like colored PU foam to disguise themselves as hills - they would spray out the foam onto themsleves and wait a little as it dried  ...

BlackOps

I love that series of books :)  I like most of Ringo's work. I'd forgotten about the camo foam  :banghead:

OGRES have no humans on board, so the necessity for stuff about and below is minimized. Yes, of course, they have to be serviced now and again. Just like any sailor...errr...ship.

How about CthulhuOGRE?

I got one of those at last year's Origins for 5 bucks.  Quite the steal.  :)

Advanced plug making 101...yeah right. wood and foam so far:

cthulhu77

sheeting using thin birch plywood...the same stuff I buy for my skateboard decks:

cthulhu77

Should have the whole thing sheeted today, even with Shanlyn coming home early ("Legend" is on, and she loves that film...more time for me to build)

2nd layer of cake coming on:

Big model indeed. Will you drive it?

The finished kit will indeed be rc compatible...so I guess I could drive it. :)

Sheeting is finished and dry, so today I foam!
