Blimey, must have been low and slow if you means Mrs PR19's nose!

Usually you plug your nose and open the taps, or else you'll fill up your sinuses

I just love the aeroplane. Love reading the stories and daydreaming. Wish I could go back in time to Waddo and watch her again !

We are supposed to be doing some work up in the Northern Penninsula of Newfoundland, and on the Labrador side as well. I'm hoping to somehow get over to Goose Bay and see the Vulcan there. Now that would be a dream come true !

:tornado:

Hi Guys,
How many under-wing pylons could the Vulcan carry? I've only seen two, one under each wing. On the Airfix kit there are options for the Vulcan Bomber or Tanker.

I'm Whiffing a 1/72 Kitbash HS Vulpine- Airfix BAe Nimrod fuselage with Airfix Vulcan wings and 1/100 PlayFix Trident T-tail. Haven't decided if it will be a bomber, ASW or tanker yet. (wings have been fitted to the fuselage, fuselage halves glued together, T-tail spliced on.)

Hobbes

One pylon per wing for the production aircraft, but the proposed Phase 6 would have had 3 pylons per wing to carry 6 Skybolt. As these are pretty large (5 tons/11000 lb), you can carry multiple smaller items: 2 Shrike were carried per pylon for Black Buck, for a what-if, racks similar to MER (6 bombs per pylon) would not be out of the question.

Erm ! are you sure ? I've got three Airfix Vulcans in the stash and none have a tanker option ---

Ooops I'm sure I've seen an aftermarket resin 'Tanker conversion'.

Airwaves did a K2 tanker conversion in white metal too, I have one. And it was a lot cheaper than $40!

Would that fit on the Airfix BAe Nimrod?
