I'll do up one of my old Lincoln Futura kits as a sort of Barris Batmobile with treads and a turret.

Yes, I know it's a form of sacrilege for a Batfreak such as myself but it will give me a great challenge in capturing the essence of the old TV Batmobile as a working tank.

Man, upon opening the box, I'm suddenly reminded of why I have never built one of these Futura kits into a Batmobile before: what a piece of junk.  Yeah, I realize it's an old, old (1956) mold but why would they have engineered this thing broken into so many pieces like this?  By the time I'm done with it, the "Futura Tank" will likely have to be an operational and battle-damaged version!

Scratchbuilt: I'm going to try to emulate the general Bat-feel of the rest of the car, updating it a bit.
Ever see a finned turret?   :banghead:

I wasn't going to incorporate the glass canopies but, now that you mention it...

This is gonna be VERY interesting, Batman drove a tank in "The Dark Knight Returns".

I invite all and any criticism, except about Eric The Dog, it's not his fault he's stupid

Oh yeaaaaah----I remember Miller's work!  Wasn't "Robin" a teenaged girl in this version?
Unfortunately, I can pretty much guarantee you that my Batura-Tank won't be nearly as cool as his.
But I'll definitely give it a go!

This reminds me of the old joke about the young couple in a booth at a restaurant who were fooling around near an old lady at the next table. The young man brings the girl to such excitement that she cries out in ecstasy. Right then the waiter shows up to take the old lady's order. She points to the young woman and says, "I'll take what she's having!"

Mr Howling Mouse, whatever inspires you to such great heights, I want some too!

Best of luck and keep the bubble canopies. How about a big gun right between them like one of those German low-profile tanks?

Gonna be wider (of course) to give it a more tanklike feel (of course) and to incorporate the tank treads (of course)
