Real world alert!;)

This was Elena's (8 yrs.) first real model. She did about 90% of the work including most of the decals. I helped her with some masking (she hand painted it), the decal over the fuel tank, flat coat and canopy paint. I also ran out the the blue we were using :banghead: so I had to substitute until I can get that Blue Angel blue again.:) She's really liking this stuff for now. She'll be picking her new build soon..... ;D

I feel very guilty for hating such a lovely young girl, BUT SHE'S BETTER THAN ME!

Oh, by the way Elena, in picture #3 there is a light green piece of paper with a picture on it, just near the starboard wing. Could you check around the house, in Daddy's pockets, etc., find all the similar ones you can, and send them to me please? I collect them. Thanks!

Seriously though, Elena, you're one very talented lady and I hope you'll keep building models. Us old fuds need shown up every now and then.

Eddie it looks like she inherited your skill and talent! Bravo!

Just a chip off the old block!

She's off to a good start.  When's her first WHIFF?

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

Well she has done more on her first build than what I did   I think I got to squirt the glue tube a couple of times from what I can remember.  And the model didn't get a lick of paint.

Very well done BTW!

Mossie

Yeah I think my Dad took over on my first model because he was having more fun than he thought he would!

Eleanor, I really like your Corsair!  I think you've made a very good job of since it's your first model, I never made as neat a job of a model until I was much older than you & had built many more kits.  Well done!!!

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Is not she too young to be perververted?  :banghead:

Hi Elena,
A good job   . My first model was a crap model (Heller 1/100 Mirage III) soaked in glue and no paint. ;D ;D
Will die without understanding this world.

Her's a couple more. I forgot to add that I trimmed the pieces up with the blade so they're were no accidents. Other than that I made a point not to do anymore than i absolutely had to. I did offer about a million hints, tips and directions. I'll let here respond later.:)

Sooooo....she's one of THOSE kids, eh?  You know the kind you sometimes (but rarely) see on FSM and elsewhere who can win contests while still in single-digit age-groups.

You sure look proud/content in that pic of you with your model, Elena: good for you!

My daughter's 8 too.  Maybe you could send her an e-mail and try to convince her to get off youtube for a whole five minutes and do something creative for once.

Eddie:  I'd guess they're will be maybe five kids in the world who can actually create anything with their own hands by the year 2010------nice to know that two of them will be yours.
