Elena, you've done really good with your build, not only better than mine were at your age its better than mine at the age I am now  :o .
Thinks we're witnessing a future Nats gold winner in the making here folks.

All the best.

What a great looking build!  Sure beats the heck out of the abominations I built at that age.

She hasn't seen the rest of the comments from y'all, but she will later. She thinks it's pretty cool that to get comments from something she did that's on the internet.:)

Also, when I say 1st REAL model, I mean glue and paint. She's a veteran of 2 snaptites. We did those so she could get used to using the tools and steps it takes to finish a model. Here's some from those birds.

On a side note, she like bugs as well.

Uhhhh, tell me that bug is one of those old Life-Like 6:1 scale thingies...   :o

Nope. She collects bugs and she found this one outside our fire dept. I'm pretty sure it's a rhino beetle.

I think our next project will involve something like this, courtesy of BdaB!

Heh, heh, what was she back then: three?
Cute.
Now she can build one that she can hold in her hand.
The circle is now complete...

I'm really looking forward to seeing you build the P-39 Elena. I learn something from every model I see posted here and I'm sure I'll see something in your next project that will inspire me (like the silver canopy on that Phantom). Keep up the good work and have fun!

Brian da Basher

P.S. You have such a great teacher in your dad. I have to learn by trial and error. And let me tell you, there's a lot of errors! ;)

I was going to ask if this is the P-63F that's still in flying condition until I read BdaB comments above.  I think it's a P-63something anyway.
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

This is the P-63 King Cobra and as far as I know it's still flying, at least it was 5 years ago. The P-39 BdaB speaks of is one he sent me from his stash. ;D

Hi Elena, you're doing a great job.  Now, be a good girl and go look through Daddy's stash for something you'd like to send me.  Oh, I don't know.  Maybe an airplane model called a "Phantom" by a really good model-making company called "Tamiya" in something we like to say is "1:32 scale."   -_-
