Another 'cut and shut' skin made by combining the stock RCAF green skin with the stock silver skin for the undersides. Definite shades of the RAFG Lightnings!

For gentlemen of a certain age like me, some RAF squadrons just have to be twinned another and No.19 and No.92 squadrons were paired for quite some time so I just had to do a 'Cobra' squadron Zipper with my own variation of their tail marking. Apart from a few tweaks to my 'cut and shut' skin I've had a play with adding specular mapping which means that areas that are meant to be shiny shine and areas that are not supposed to be shiny don't shine. As I wanted to make my RAFG Zippers with silver undersides like the Lightning F.2A's I've had to make specular maps and it has worked reasonably well as shown in the last shot. BTW I had to use the CF-104 3D model so my RAF Zippers are now built by Canadair  ;)

Wing-tip Firestreaks look pretty cool on the Zipper. One of my pet hates on US aircraft is the red engine line and whilst I've removed it from the fuselage I can see that there's a bit left on the fin fillet.

This uses the stock silver skin but with the specular and reflection settings screwed down to give a flat grey colour and then the uppersurfaces are lightly tinted.

Oooh, I really like this one myself! I've been lucky enough to have been given the F-4E/Spey hybrid with a smashing 'sundowner' template making it pretty easy to knock up my 1970's dream aircraft.

This fictional derivative of the F-20 was released recently (as the MiG-28M!!) by 'Cocas' but I've put it into JASDF service, with stock F-4EJ codes, as a licence-built export version of the F-20 with Mitsubishi changing the tail.

A simple RDAF Green skin by me on the modified Tigershark. As this is derived from a Soviet Tigershark then it has 'Odd Rod' aerials and MiG-21 tanks. I'll come back to this one again and again as it does look so good and the lightweight nature should translate into export sales...  ;)

A very good F-105D template by 'ludo.m54' and a single colour camo makes this 'RDAF Green' Thud quite easy to do. I think it looks great in this scheme!

The Airfix F-80 Shooting Star was one of the first models I bought (I'm sure it was back in 1973 so probably for 25p ) and I loved the 'Saggin Dragon' nose markings. This F-80C is a cracking 3D model although I've had to use a skin meant for the two-seater so there is a minor mapping issue. I've chosen to use the Norwegian flag as a fin flash as I don't like the bare look seen on some RNoAF jets.

Only slightly 'whiffy' as, of course, No.6 Squadron really did operate the FGR.2 but only for a few years from 1969 until they switched to Jaguars in 1974. No input from me except for taking the screenshots as this superb skin is by 'sundowner' who has envisaged the FGR.2 soldiering on for quite some time past a 1995 upgrade and, indeed, many people think that they went a bit too soon.
