This squadron seem to have two different types (style and colour) of 'squadron bar' type markings so I've chosen the pre-war triangular markings seen on their Hawker Demons.

I'm really pleased with the 'squadron bars' decal on this No.612 squadron MiG-21. I did the basic pattern, created two duplicate layers and used the 'clothify' function on the two duplicates at 25% opacity with the second duplicate layer reversed.

The only colours I've seen for No.613 squadron seem to be identical to No.9 squadron. I'd love to know if they had any 'loud' colours on their pre-war Hinds and Hectors.

The No.615 squadron markings will be familiar to anyone whose studied the Gloster Meteor F.8 and was another marking featured on a classic decal sheet given away for free with the first issue of a UK aircraft modelling magazine (whose name escapes me now) about thirty years ago . Anyway, I haven't got it spot-on but it's close enough and will see the light of day again as I really like it.

I was going to keep this one until tomorrow (St. David's Day) but I also want March to be an RAF roundel free zone so here it is and it also neatly brings to an end my recent burst of RAuxAF stuff. So the next RAF 'what if' will now be on April 1st - the RAF's 92nd birthday. I've had a few PM's on ideas so expect to see, amongst others, Japanese F-23's, French Phantoms, USN Voodoos and Indian Mirage V's!

Despite not having time to do the numbers I'm quite pleased with this French Phantom. I've previously got the shade of roundel 'bleu' wrong but think I've nailed it this time and done a good job of knocking up a EC2/13 fin marking based on that seen on their Mirage IIIC's.

My RAF Phantom 'what ifs' are powered by the Rolls-Royce/Snecma Sequanna turbofan (Spey thrust but with J79 diameter) originally planned for advanced versions of the Mirage III, IV and V so it sees service in this French Phantom. Tomorrow, I'll try to show these markings on a USAF camo and see if I can do the numbers too.

Don't look too close because there's some unfinished work here (mainly no 'NL' letters and the fin decal not appearing on all fin/rudder surfaces as the mesh names are not known) but hopefully it gives an impression of what one of the hottest looking jets of all time would look like in service with one of the most famous fighter units on the planet!

Another stock skin (straight out of the game) but with my No.26 squadron markings (adapted from my IAF Tomcat) and some suggested serial numbers from someone at the Indian Warbirds site because I haven't a scoobie how IAF serials work!
