I've previously done some nice and shiny RAF Farmers so thought I'd knock-up a 'Desert Pink' Farmer at the end of it's service life! Miles was chosen for the alliterative effect but I see the Farmer being more of a Gloster product.

Some 'artistic licence' has been taken here with the national markings and the nose marking is straight out of me own 'ed.

The A-6A was in 'Wings Over Vietnam' but unfortunately it missed the cut for 'Strike Fighters 2:Vietnam' which is a real shame as it is very enjoyable to fly this aircraft on a strike mission - especially with MiG-17's on your tail! Thankfully, it can be made flyable by lifting the pit out of the original game and installing it into your newer game although mine seems to have lost a few dials along the way.

With the imminent rescue of the trapped Chilean miners I thought I'd release this. I've added a 'tiger' fintip and also amended the national markings.

Having made the COAN decals (and layered rudder template) I thought I'd try them on the USMC camo skin and switch the unit to No.1 Escuadrilla Aeronaval de Caza y Ataque.

A superb template was released for the F-14 recently so I thought I'd do a Desert Pink RAF machine (even though the RAF's Tornado F.3's stayed in grey during Desert Shield/Desert Storm).

Anyone who has this game/sim will know that you can't normally get this close to a Soviet bomber as their gunners are SH in downing 'blue' fighters! I've cheated here by creating a 'Friendly Bear' and then using him for a North Sea photo op!!

Thinks: Perhaps HMS Centaur was retired a few years earlier than in reality and sold to India.

Anyway, the Supermarine jet trio (Attacker, Swift and Scimitar) are all available as add-on aircraft and I thought I'd try my hand at an INAS Scimitar F.Mk.51. I've removed the hideous inflight refuelling probe but unfortunately this skin is by me and shows how rubbish I am but does give an impression of what the powerful Scimitar would have looked like in INAS service.

Supermarine Scimitar FGA.2 - No. 41 Squadron, RAF Middle East Command, 1960

Initially designed as a single-seat fighter the prototype Supermarine Type 544 soon attracted the interest of the RAF who quickly drafted an operational requirement for a single-seat low-level strike aircraft equipped with low-altitude bombing equipment and the ability to carry a 'special' weapon. Whilst earmarked for RAF Germany the Scimitar FGA.2 also served at home with No.41 and No.54 squadrons at Stradishall with both squadrons being transferred to RAF Middle East Command during the Second Suez Crisis of 1960.
