Here we go!  They're both completed (one in flight with additional drop tanks, one on the ground with AA rockets) but I don't have pics of the one on the ground yet as a new diorama/backdrop is in the works.

I built a simple base using an aerial photo of Seattle to help the illusion of the SuperBolt being airborne.  This was my first crack at using an online image developer; printed photo was ready for pick-up in less than an hour.  I had to spray it with Testors Acryl Matte Clear to get most of the shine out (was supposedly a matte finish but it sure was glossy) but I was pretty happy with the results.  It's mounted on a clear acrylic rod.

Here you can get a better idea of the simple base and in-flight lay-out:

Some more pics since you've all been so patient.  Wait til you see the bird on the ground version!

Profile shots are the best to show off the sleekness of the narrowed/lengthened fuselage:

More coming later...

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

gooberliberation

I love how it totally flies in the face of real advanced P-47 variants and went for sleek and slim instead of bloated and hideous

Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try.

Totally killer, Mr Howling Mouse! I really like how you added the pointy spinner which only enhances the sleek lines of this slim beauty!

You are an artist!
