large scale Sanger and A.10 missile ...

... had to do a quick impromptu modelmaking session for a group of students ..from making a wooden form (either by shaping with saws, sanders or lathe, through to making a vacuforming of the finished master ...

'unfortunately' the only suitable drawings i had to hand (just so happens, lol!) was a copy of an old 'Research & Development SIG.' newsletter covering space and rocket projects ...

et viola ...  a 1/35 A.10 rocket and Sanger Silverbird... big sonovas'

the group now has some interesting 'deskware' for their studio and im left with some original formers for turning out a few more, ill bring some along to the Scottish Nationals as the sheets are a lil large to post

Next time please ensure that you have the Hawker Issue of the R&D newsletter to hand in the Classroom.

Better yet print out a copy of the HS-681 brochure  ;D.

meanwhile got a few vacforms turned out in 3mm thick styrene...

(iv photographed the Sanger alongside my vacuform master for a 1/72 example with its booster unit!)

vacuform Sanger all sanded and filled and coated with cellulose paint providing a nice hard finish for scribing ...
