Very nice, and while I can see the propellor......won't the the mid upper turret get in the way of the cockpit canopy and the tailplane, and will Brian de B be able to fit spats on it?

Fear not lads,and ladesses!
i'm still whittling away on this one,i originaly did go for a tri colour cammo but it just didnt look right.so i've settled for a 'marinepanzer' blue grey mix . like you said Mav,its more fitting for the time frame , as it sits now paint and decals are on and the weathering is under way.
Hiya JHM,i got a little bit scientific on this one and used a weight displacement formulae to get an idea of what volume would be needed to get the beastie floating, in my little tank factory the hull would have been cut down to form an armoured bathtub and the sponsons built from cast glass backed aluminium with the void areas filled with compressed cork.sort of a first generation composite armour if you like.the punt bow would keep the nose up in the water and still allow good entry /exit angles and the stern realy just has to keep the engine dry. the raised drivers position is a must to ensure visibility, and the rest just sort of developed from there.speaking of lingering ...there is a couple of yours i have been waiting to see finnished
Funny you should say that Wolfi 'an Basher ,i did toy breifly with the idea of an Italian glider tankette ......
Glad you all like it ,pics comming soon  cheers Steve.

This is a really stunning piece of armor, Bluntie! What I like best are the details, like the snorkel exhaust pipe and the rim around the opening in the turret! It sure looks the part for Operation Sea Lion!

I think this is one of your best, bluntie! It really looks like it should be spearheading the assault on Ol' Blighty!

There are some astonishingly impressive models in this group build!

Little known fun-fact:  The Wehrmacht were notorious for loving the feeling of their long locks of blonde hair streaming in the wind whenever they did their little blitzkreig dance!  There's even a WW2 song about it clicky-here .

Love it Bluntie!

Hi ya General,
The open top turret was a popular feild modification at the time ,given that combat rations consisted of Bratwurst, beans, black bread and beer  ;D
No i had no specific reason realy, other than just about all of their light armoured cars were open tops, early American LVT'S were open too, and it sort of made it look lighter .
If you would all like to proceed to the completed builds department ,its now parked over there.
Thans for all the intrest guys
