Part One:

The white sands of the Yucatan peninsula blew into the sky, as if they were following his fighter, a tornado of silica accompanied the A-8J as it flung itself higher above the jungle revetment. A warning had been issued one week earlier, possible enemy activity in this sector, and Flight Major Julio was ready for action.
Since the change of staff in Cuba, the defense grid of the Chiapas state had been on full alert,  a new president meant more problems. Fidel was a known quantity, his brother could be much more dangerous, and a possibly a warmonger. With his alignment to the central government in Mexico, Castro number two was proving to be a real wild card.
Not only that, but also the intelligence indicated that the old Russian government had been selling arms to the Cubans and the Iraqis much more recently, the Russians needed the money, and the third world communists needed the arms. If the Iraqis and the Cubans hooked up an alliance...

mmmmmm....my itch has been scratched.
Two detail questions for you:
1. What is the blue streak (?) on the pilot's visor?
2. Did you achieve some sort of fabric-covered effect for the instrument panel coaming or is that just a trick of the camera/lighting?

Looking great, Greg.  Wow!
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

BlackOps

You know the more I look at this the more I think it would make a kick-donkey mini-sub  ;D   Lookin' good Greg!

Looking great, Greg.  Wow!

1. the base painting for the overvisor
2. crappy painting. I sanded it down, and refinished the the surface.

Man, less than five hours, and I am speed drying the white glue .

Wow...with three hours to spare!

Anywho. I think this tight tight tight time frame brings out some of the best...all of the builds are just too damn spectacular. Hopefully, one of these days, we will all be able to sit down at a pub, and buy drinks for each other.

I had a blast!

Go Get "Em !:

Superb!  The in-flight photo really makes the camo look good.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.
