Every update is more stunning that the last, Mr Howling Mouse! This Menaz is totally epic!

P.S. Be sure to get the correct number of rivets around those panels now...

Whoa, wouldn't that be a trip!?!  I wish he was here right now to show me how to do a proper diorama for this baby.

Many thanks for all the encouragement, guys.  It's certainly what's keeping me going on this one.  I've put another six hours into the paintjob since my last update...I'm getting there, trust me.  I'm scheduled to have Thursday through Monday off (fingers crossed) so should be done sometime this weekend!  I'm going to do a diorama using some tiny shavings of concrete I saved from our house construction (should have seen the look on the contractor's face as I loaded a pound of the junk into a ziplock bag!) and some bits of scraggly tumbleweeds, etc.

Pics are coming-----I promise!

Underside is all done, down to the hanging flaps, landing gear doors, wheels and all the wiring has been painted.

All it needs now is for me to attach the canopy, bent prop, and a broken aerial wire!

You must simply try to put this in a diorama of some sort!!!

This is some simply astonishing work Mr Howling Mouse. Utterly convincing...artifact as work of art. From the intricate detail of the open and hanging wires (especially the ones on the bomb shackles), to the amazingly realistic rust-streaked and faded paintwork, your Menaz is a wonder and a sight to behold. You've taken modeling to the highest level yet.

JHM this is looking GREAT! I can't wait to see it finished.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

I used to own a 1/1 car in that condition but I'd much rather have your Menaz!

Well, with the exception of fine-tuning some of the guano droppings (no joke, never thought I'd say THAT about a model!), she's done.  I can't wait to re-do this exact airframe in pristine condition right down to all the additional panels I scribed and those that I removed.  Cool to show them side-by-side on the same shelf.  You'll  notice the nosegear got thrust forward on its last pancake landing (would hit the prop).  I'll have to remember to accommodate for that on the pristine version----plus the nose gear will be shorter as the full engine will push it down into a more "Tucano-style" stance.  Hope you like.  I owe this one to the Mods and fans of the Spring Break Group Build.

Tomorrow, I'll take some outdoor pics but the diorama is coming too.

Guano! Guano! Guano!

Awesome weathering, to say the least.

Whatever.

Baz, words leave me.  Briliant just doesn't do it justice.

You know, together with your pristine version, that would be more than worthy of a magazine article.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
