Sir John lives in a different time continuum, most humans that are around him just hear a buzzing sound as he moves at a speed so fast, the eye can't lock onto an image.  Mrs. Hitler was thinking about putting bells on his ankles, so she could tell where he was in the house, but settled on a radioactive chip implant.

Daaaaaaammmnnnnnn.

For a one week build.  Makes me feel like a real wimp for keeping my simple.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

Yeah, Baz, you could'a wimped out and used fixed landing gear with S P A T S ! ! ! but noooooo,
you had to go all out ba**s to the wall with this one. So how much sleep are you going to rack up during this timeframe? You truly do march to a different drummer my friend.

Absolutely!!! And not that I'm bitter or twisted with envy, but wasn't there a suggestion that JHM should be banned from GBs - - -  ;D

Rudder with some pins (I don't know why).  The trim tab has been separated and bent at an angle, too.

Instrument panels with the instruments themselves very carefully drilled out (4 different sized micro-drillbits!).

Now, the smart participants on this GB are already at the painting stage.  Me? I'm only now getting to the scratchbuilt nosegear wheel well in the meanwhile.

Another view.  Yeah, kinda hokey, I know, but I'm on a tight schedule.

Here's the nosegear wheel well with the IP's for a feeling of scale.

What did you think I've been doing...writing "thank you" notes on behalf of the Royal Family?  Naw, I've been doing up more wiring and some schmodz all over this derelict airplane for you.     Looks pretty cheesy from the inside but I wanted to show you how the window dressing was done.

See?  When you put 'em together, it's magic.  Well, sort of.  To see how the real pro's do it, look up a guy named Wolfik or go check out that Greek fellow's work on Swanny's site.

More of the same but with the wings.  Kind of a joke from the inside.  This stuff takes HOURS to do.  Hope the result is considered worthwhile for the viewer once it's all done.

Port wing looking inside:

Port wing from the outside:

Starboard wing from the inside.

That same wing from the outside.

Lower wing halves from the inside.

Lower wings from the outside.  You can see where I filled the float pylon gaps with some plasticard.  I eyeballed it fairly well.  You can also see that I have to PSR the reversed wheel wells from the Monogram Mustang.  THAT'S gonna be fun, I'm sure.

Put the wings together (no glue yet) and the effect of all the opened access panels and missing junk is pretty convincing.  But it's clear I know nothing about the engineering of aircraft guts.  Oh well, I'm having fun and that's what counts.

That's magic, Mr Howling Mouse! You're well on the way to perfectly capturing the look of a derelict airframe. I really like the wiring. As wing mounted guns are usually fired electrically, this works for me!

I hope you can hear me applauding from your workshop way up there in the Great White North.

That's really amazing Barry, it does look like someone has just ripped out the equipment.
