All that work, and my favourite bit?  The faded perspex canopy

I'm fairly good with words..... and I don't have anything like the adequacy required...... here's my best effort:

A new level of modeling, ability, skill, imagination & vision.

The final diorama bits for junk lying in the dust are done:

One of the good things about this hobby is it tends to keep me very humble.  Doing the diorama was a real awakening.  I was only doing about a square foot's worth of sculpted rock and sparse grass.  I cannot imagine how some folks fill their entire basement with complete (and much more detailed) natural diorama scenes for their railroads!  Here are some outdoor shots of the final aircraft sitting on the completed diorama.  I've learned a great deal for the next one I do. I tried to take pics so you'd feel like you were able to rotate the view and see all sides as if you were here in person.  Enjoy.

These shots are not as good as the preceding but they give you some close up views of both the diorama and the aircraft (for better or worse):

And, just so you can see the whole diorama base, here are some pics from a few feet back:

Wow, that groundwork is something else - the bright, stark sunlight really helps as well.

Love the discarded spinner - nice little touch

A lot of  going on, I'm going to add to it!

Baz, I just, well... wow.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Thanks guys.  I would not have produced this if not for you folks.
