This looked good when it was just a modified P-39 - with this colour scheme it looks stunning! I'm certainly looking forward to seeing it finished.

The ZIPA hides from nothing!

The pirates, drug runners and illegal fishermen fear the very sight of this aircraft approaching. Once it's parked in the hanger, a black light and some strobes and some rock n bumpin' music round out the day with some fine times during spring break.

Here's another update. I might actually finish this one after spending the day at the Houston Livestock and Rodeo Show. Out of tens of thousands of kids across the state, Elena got a "gold" medal for some art she did in class. Puts me to shame....

Because of the money she made selling her western art, Elena was able to buy a small chunk of sand in the Caribbean. She named it Zoe Island (in honor of one of her childhood cats) and brought her family to live there. Since her Oldman, Eddie Miller ( Lt. Ret.) flew in the War, she thought it only fittting that she put him in charge of island defense.They bought a heavily modified P-39Z "Spitting Cobra" and painted to celebrate Elena's art. The only threat to their easy going life were, from time to time, pirates, drug runners and illegal fishing vessels. Soon after the first sorties of the P-39Z, word got around to avoid those water. After that Elena's Oldman took to the air for his pleasure and to remember old times....
