The lower one looks like of the many Chinese J-7 reincarnations of the Fishbed...  ;)

The upper one is interesting, though.

IIRC, there has recently an 1:72 kit been released of the swept-wing prototype (ModelSvit, IIRC).

You get the rough impression that he's not impressed too much................  ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

And yet the MiG 21 is still the most produced supersonic aircraft with nearly 14,000 built between '59 and '06.  And damn gorgeous with it.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I sent the picture to an old lightning pilot - his reply:

Actually the MIG 21 was quite good cheap and plentiful fast as well but limited range plus they shot many US aircraft down in Vietnam .No match for the Lightning though we were faster and could out manoeuvre them ...in the good days when dogfighting was the rigour!

TheChronicOne

I just saw a movie a couple hours ago that featured the air "battle" between Cuban 21s and a few Cessnas. So, they're in the least good at downing 337s.  ;D

I would assume our Finnish friends might have something tho add here. They used it together with the SAAB 35 Draken for a good many years before introducing the F-18 Hornet.
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!
