That blue is a really nice touch Ed. It's taking things in a different direction like that which seperate the Whiffers from the rest of the crowd.

Excellent!

Extra points for picking such a cool subject and then extra extra points for doing something innovative with the camo.

Sure is coming along nicely, Ed.

The Pogo is one of KP's way better models, I built one some time ago and found it really nice.  I never thought of whiffing it though, it was a bit before I joined you merry bunch!

That looks really nice Ed! keep it going.

Day 5 update.

Didn't get a chance to do an update yesterday.  Here is a picture after I added a second coat of a lighter color in a random cloud pattern.  Next step to add the final details of the camo.

So this evening, I tried my new experimental camo.  It worked but I wasn't quite happy with the results.  So I thought I'd wipe off this last coat.  Unfortunately, the base color came off as well.  That's what I get for using acrylics for both colors.  So after a few choice words, I ended up stripping all of the previous color coats off.  Then I repainted it.  This time with an enamel so I don't have to worry about putting an acrylic camo pattern over it.  The enamel blue I had is a different shade then the acrylic, but it still works. Now, I'll let it cure over night and put on the camo colors tomorrow.

Hopefully, tomorrow's painting will work better.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

But---but----that two-tone cloudy look was so terrific!  Awwww...   :banghead:

I agree - I don't know what went wrong, but I thought that the cloudy blue scheme looked great.

Day 6 Update.

Got the camo pattern sprayed this evening.  I did the lighter shade a little different this time.  More lines and less cloud like.

Then I did the highlights.  Here's the result.  I was trying to make it look like waves on the ocean.

Now, I need to print some decals.  I have the roundels, but I need some "Armada de Mexico" and tail numbers.

Decals go on tomorrow night.

It looks very cool - the camo pattern makes it look like it's underwater!

Preferred the clouds to the lines, but then I saw the photo of the final "wave" version - stunning!!! A fantastic scheme
