Ed S's Armada de Mexico Pogo was the overall favorite! Ed's imaginative subject and striking camo scheme was the top vote getter!

Ed, contact John Howling Mouse via PM to claim your prize!

Thanks to everyone who took part. You're all winners in my book!

Brian you beat me to it! ;)

I have to say, I'm impressed with the ideas & turnout we had for this "last minute" build-off, this exceeded my humble expectations! Congrats to Ed for getting the top slot w/that Pogo and to everyone who "went on break" to get some bench time in!

So, Who wants to go again next year?

Great job, Ed!

We have a little surprise with this GB, too.  While it was underway, I suggested to Brian (or was it Shasper?) that we provide a prize for the entries which received the top three percentages of votes (other GB's have done this and if there was ever a worthy GB for multiple prizes, it was this one).

So, I ask the top three vote-winners to PM me with:
a. Your genre of choice (i.e. aircraft, naval, armor, auto, sci-fi, etc.);
b. Your preferred scale;
c. Anything you truly want to AVOID (i.e. brands of model you dislike, subject matter that turns you off, etc.);
d. Your snail-mail address complete with your actual name.

My goal is to make these GB prizes worthy of the outstanding effort and creativity you showed in your entries.

Well, this is a pleasant surprise. Now I feel guilty about all the horrible things I said about the Backfire when I was actually building it!  ;D

Congratulations to Ed, a deserved winner  :thumbsup:
And thanks to those who voted for the Backfire and provided positive feedback during the build  :cheers:

Got the notes from each of you and I'm going shopping tomorrow!  Boy, is Ms. Hitler gonna be impressed (until I tell her the kits are prizes for others----she'll watch me all the way to the Post Office!)

Just how do people manage to produce models like these in a week??  Can they bend time?  Is this GB something out of the Matrix??? ;D ;D

Sure was a fun time, and the Pogo was truly inspired !  Amazing what can be done under pressure, isn't it? Cheers to everyone who participated !

Congratulations, you should be justifiably proud of an outstanding model.
