Monogram kit with some filler !!

Upper views. The most filler needed on the stabiliser roots. NONE needed on the main wing/fus joint.

Underneath the sink marks on the tips of the stabilisers have been filled with typewriter correction fluid. The holes for the rocket rails were backed with plastic card then filled..... there's something else planned for here !

As ever all comments, queries and outrage is welcome.

The Tiffy is a beautiful aircraft and I know you're going to make this one into a real prize-winner, Ian!

I'm looking forward to seeing what you've got in mind under the wings.

Storm Shadows?  ALARM?

Looks great Ian, cant wait to see where this goes!
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Couple of shots before it heads back to the paint shed to have the wheel wells sprayed (the same Aluminium colour as the Meteors' - actually Xtracolour Duralumin). Been sprayed with Halfords acryllic white primer, reason being two things:-

First it's a bl**dy good primer and with lots of water and some ultra fine wet'n dry itcomes up with a really smooth glassy finish.

Second, well it's white, and this thing needs white stripes !! - easy innit !

OK so it's SEAC I assume ?

Typhoon suits SEAC scheme - got a 1/72 Accadamy kit in that scheme from when I was doing my Typhoon line up
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I knew as soon as I posted those shots that you'd get it, Chris. Yep you're right SEAC Typhoon F2. Here's the wheel well all sprayed, ready for masking and the Medium Sea Grey. It will be a long time before any more is done to this one as we go away on Saturday.

Going back to your March 22 posting: you have your completed cockpit installed within the fuselage but unpainted?!

How do you get all the details painted up after the fact?

Erm no, Baz, the cockpit was sprayed then hand painted the IP, sidewalls etc in the usual way then the fus halves joined...... dont think I said it was all done "after the fact"  - Look at the pic again you'll see the RAF Cockpit Green, pwomise !

Sorry, Ian.  Thought you were on to some new technique!  Hmmm....fargin' laptop.  On my screen, in that pre-painted fuselage pic, your interior looks exactly the shade of unpainted model kit plastic!  I was shocked the first time I saw some of my own models on this laptop screen versus how I've gotten used to them looking on the desktop.  I've even reworked the display settings for this laptop but there's no comparison b/w our laptop views and that of our desktop PC!  Sometimes I wonder just how different all our various screen displays look to each of us!

Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

Springing back to life !

Got some time in the paint-shed this morning so here's one third of what I was up to (the Meteor is another third and a real world P-40 is the third, third..... ahem )

Humbrol MSG (H165) with a few drops of white to take the 'newness' out of it. Two 'medium' coats and that's it !!

It's sunday - and I've got a couple of hours to myself. As I write this, I'm also masking the Tiffie (and the Meteor and 'real world' P-40) and a wee bit later this morning, I'll be assaulting them all with paint.

Maybe some pics this evening as they dry.
