Innovative use of a F-16, good stuff so far!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Thank you, sir.
I'd originally had the idea a year or so back when I'd relaised the original F-16 whiff was no good, but I'd intended using Tornado wings and Phantom tailplanes (still in a butterfly configuration).  On reflection I think it works better with the Bf 110 wings with the F-16 wings as the tailplane, but there's still a way to go.
Undercarriage doors, wheels and stores next on the agenda!

Like to see old models get recycled.  This is a very creative use of an old F-16.  Inverting the fuselage into a UCAV makes it look completely different.  Looking forward to seeing it finished.

When I accepted to participate in this GB, I did not imagine the absolutely high level some modellers are imposing.
Honestly, I cannot ...  :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

BTW: Top notch

Nice progress, kitbasher! It looks like you're on target with your PSR! Appears flawless in those shots!

Does that ever have an air of believability!  Great job on a smart concept.

Not quite as much progress as I would have hoped to have made (bearing in mind I've not got anywhere with my other entry into this GB), but nevertheless I've got the u/c doors on, the u/c legs almost all painted and the wheels on, the pylons and the basic painting (Medium Sea Grey fuselage sides and undersides, Dark Camouflage Grey Uppers) done.
Missiles, bombs, decalling and matting still to do.

No pictures today but the Firecracker has now been decalled and matted, and the stores are almost ready to be attached.  With the model more or less finished, the final 'scrapyard' parts tally is as follows:

Airfix Hunter – drop tanks (main undercarriage fairings, originally conformal tanks on the 'F-32'
Airfix Jaguar GR.1 - decals
Airfix Messerschmitt Bf110 – wings
Airfix F-4 Phantom – nosewheel leg
Airfix Sea King HAR.2 – blister window (as nose sensor turret)
Airfix Tornado GR.1 – decals
Airfix Tornado GR.4 - ALARM missiles
Esci F-16 - bombs
Fujimi Phantom FGR.2 – inner wing pylons
Matchbox Beaufighter – gun camera fairing (as rear fuselage sensor)
Matchbox Phantom FGR.2 - decals
PM F-16A – fuselage, wings, canopy, undercarriage doors, main undercarriage wheels, outer wing pylons
Scale Aircraft Modelling Sheet 72-002 (Sea Harriers) - decals

Not sure where the nosewheels came from, but they're either Airfix or Matchbox, and the main undercarriage legs look Matchbox.  Nose wheel doors and aerials are plastic card.

The plan is to get this finished and posted up this week.  ;D ;D
