Given the cheapness of Airfix Nimrods at the minute (£16 at one store locally), it may be worth buying one or two to chop up.

If there's such thing as a vacform Kawasaki C.1 available, maybe that might work well for an AW.681?

There's a hideously expensive resin one but no vacuform one that I'm aware of.

I thought there was a Hasegawa 1/200 C-1 out there at one point.  At least I think I saw one on eBay a few months ago...  Maybe I'm hallucinating again.

Quite a large number of the airliner modelling community.............

Very, VERY few Whiffs in that area of course.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I was just looking through Airline Hobby Supplies website, there's dozens of 1/200 scale kits to be had.  The Academy Hughes Hercules (Spruce Goose) is 1/200 and I bought a 747 in the same scale just to get a size perspective.

The Airfix BAe Nimrod wings fit on a C-130, never tried them on a C-160.
