OMG: that went right past "anime" and into the nasty world of future aviation combat, Eddie.  Completely realistic.

IMHO, the stars are just right, as is.  They stand out against the black airframe with a bold ferocity and, man, am I ever jealous about this one!!

If you could mass-produce your creations, I'd buy each and every one of them.

The Stars definitely look 'right' but..... and in NO WAY is this a criticism, try and imagine the wing stars smaller and further outboard..... trust me, it will look meaner, but hey, Mr Miller it's your model.

You had me thinking about for a while. I would have done what you said if I would have had the smaller stars with the white out line. That was a very good observation. The one that I'm using, (and the only ones I have ) are from the P-39 that BdaB provided for me. To me, since they were an older design, I feel it fits the 104ish look that I got goin' with this one.
